How cool is this new poster for Guess Who's Coming to Dinner? I'm basically in love with it — along with the rest of the freshly re-imagined posters for old films that Turner Classic Movies is now using to promo its summer programming! I'm usually more of a fan of modern things being revamped to look vintage, so these updates took me by surprise. (P.S. – They were all designed by One Trick Pony, an advertising and branding firm based in New Jersey.)
I think the Dinner one is the best … but the moody, smoky image for The Big Heat comes a close second, and the bold, striking design of The Magnificent Seven poster isn't far behind. Honestly, they're all pretty awesome, even though the navigation for the site itself drives me insane.
Thoughts, PopWatchers? Do you like these movie posters as much as I do, or have you seen others recently that you prefer?

To Catch a Thief is definitely the best. I kind of want TCM to sell them on their website. I’d buy one.
the to catch a thief and guess who’s coming to dinner ones are the best! they look awesome! TCM: Please sell them!!
They’re all totally cool. I really love the whole ink blot look of the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde poster, but I agree–Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner is so clever, while The Big Heat and The Magnificent Seven are so striking!
High Society (The Philadelphia Story) and The Letter are my favorites. I’m disappointed with Gilda, it looks like it’s a ‘we need one more’ kind of thing.
They’re pretty clever. The Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde one is creepy good. The Grapes Of Wrath is my favorite.
Honestly the “Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner?” is my favorite, but I think that the “Gilda” one could’ve been better.
I would buy that Magnificent Seven poster right now. Thanks for the link – cool stuff!
Love these posters…Some of these movies I have yet to see so I appreciate the heads up. Love Love Love TCM…I am completely smitten with the old classics and am so grateful that there is somewhere to watch them. I love that the hosts give background stories ab the movies, really enhances ones viewing experience. (esp since I wasn’t around when these movies originally aired
i would have to say that the high society poster is my favorite!! groom tba!! love that!
That’s so cool! Would love to see more like these made of classic movies.

Those are great. I really like the “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner,” “The Grapes of Wrath,” “Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde” & “Jailhouse Rock” ones the best. I hope they do more of these in the future. (Except for the Gilda one, that one was kind of lame.)
I absolutely adore the ‘High Society’ one…but I wish it was for ‘The Philadelphia Story’ instead! I saw “Tracy Lord” and got excited, then scrolled over. Disappointing.
I agree that the one for Guess who’s coming to Dinner, High Society, and Grapes of Wrath (thought of the ‘The Road’ seeing that one). But the one for Magnificent Seven spoke to me of the original Seven Samurai; The strokes look like swords.
I love all of them. I am like most people who have said, “Please sell them”. There are at least four (4) that I would buy as long as they sell them for a reasonable price. After all, they are posters, not originals. They are also very crafty and cool posters.
Love TCM Keep the good ole movies coming.
Fantastic! I really appreciate how TCM continually strives to come with inventive and interactive ways to engage site visitors. Love the posters, and the “new” press releases that go along with each of the films. Thanks for posting this!
