dear christopher nolan a word to the wise, and how very wise you are kimosabe.please if there is to be a third installment to the revisionist batman series that you have been helming to cinematic perfection in the past handful of years take this one nugget of advise, keep the joker in arkham asylum shut the door and throw away the key. remove any kind of assertion of having harley quinn as his lovely/outside heavy.to even have the joker in the film neither seen or heard will be doing an injustice to the legacy in which HEATH LEDGER has left us with.find someone else for batman/bruce to grapple with both physically and mentally.schwarzenegger’s term is about to be up why not give him a chance to send a chill up batmans shulders again.
Harlequin would be a good villain. Essentially a female version of the Joker. No better person to play her IMO than Helena Bonham Carter. Penguin might be a good villain too. Phillip Seymour Hoffman as a fat weapons dealer. Make it happen.
With everything that’s happened in that city I wonder if the government will be an antagonist in the 3rd film?
I hope they opt for less gadgetry, and more of Batman’s intelligence and DETECTIVE SKILLS (… and not that lazy written CSI crap either!)
I have heard the rumors of Johnny Depp as The Riddler and Phillip Seymor Hoffman as Penguin and that’s great, but I have always loved Freeze and would love to see the great Patrick Stewart play him and get the aweful image of Arnold out of everyone’s mind.
Batman&Robin was never made in my world!! HAHA The new movies remind me why I fell in love with the Bat in the first place and Freeze just does not fit the style of these movies dude!I like the thought of Penguin and the Riddler,more so the Penguin!!!!!

I’m hoping that one of the storylines addressed in the next Batman movie would be the fallout of Batman’s actions in Hong Kong. Perhaps the consequences of this incident would be the government becoming involved to capture Batman partly to avoid a major diplomatic incident with China.

I completely agree. They might also consider exposing a massive conspiracy reaching up to the President himself, while exploring the psyche of Batman, and the ways in which he’s hurt many of the people closest to him, including Rachel and his daughter Kim.
IMO I think that the next villans should be either Helena Bonham Carter as Harley Quinn and/or Angelina jolie as Catwoman cause I think she would be the best there is. I know shes a little old but she could work it. I just hope they take their time in making the movie really good with or without Nolan or Bale. Also Gary Oldman rocks so I believe what he says, I think he would know when he’s working!
Christopher Nolan said straight out he doesn’t want to do catwoman because it’s way to over done.
Elaborate terrorist attacks, numerous executed mob bosses/ city officials, insane prison escapees running the streets, corruption, drugs, bombings, etc.
….and in the middle of this there’s some psycho in a rubber bat suit playing hero… while driving around in a tank!
I think the F.B.I should be concerned a little?

People want The Joker back because of the idea of continuing what Heath Ledger did, everyone LOVED Heath Ledger’s Unbelievable and Brilliant Creation, Incredible Transformation, and Realistic Masterpiece, as “The Joker”, but they don’t understand that, thats not what they would get!, not even close!, (im sure Nolan knows that), what Heath Ledger did, is not repeatable, anything else, even if they tried to get someone who looks a bit like him, and sounds like him, it couldn’t be him!!, even at that, it would just be an imitation!, of course no one could repeat Ledger’s creativity, his looks and mannerisms, his ability to bring so much at the same time.. lip licking, hunched over appearance, EVERYTHING!!!, problem is, any other actor, would be recognizable, Heath was not!, anyways, To those who worry about them replacing The Joker, which they won’t, guys Heath Ledger will always be credited for that creation. But them bringing The Joker back, would just be a let down and a disappointment
Give Heath “The Dark Knight”, Bale “Batman Begins”, and the next star the 3rd film, maybe Depp as The Riddler who knows, though i trust Nolan, have someone like maybe Paul Bettany, play The Riddler, thats who i have in mind, if not him Depp could do it im sure
