Three new clips have emerged from Terry Gilliam's upcoming film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, and, uh, they're weird! Not in a bad or good way, but just in an objective, what-the-what kind of way. Heath Ledger, who was in the middle of filming Imaginarium when he died, plays Tony, a mysterious magician.
Oooh, there's more where that came from:
Yesterday it was Alice in Wonderland, today it's this — pretty soon, my editors are just going to make me do drugs, I guess. Just kidding! Drugs are bad.
What do you think, PopWatchers? The film still doesn't have a U.S. distributor, so this might be all the imaginariuming we get for a while. Are you hoping for a sooner rather than later U.S. release for Imaginarium?

This looks really interesting, and very Gilliam-esque. I’m totally looking forward to it – that is, if it ever gets a release date….
all these clips were up during Cannes, fyi.
Dear US Distributors,
Please release this movie. It looks amazing and I cannot wait to see it.
Thanks.
SOONER!
These clips have been around for a while. Having said that, I hope it’s released sooner than later.

I have read the script for Parnassus and its very entertaining,I liked it. Its not weird at all, its imaginative, there is a difference. It will be released on Sept24th here in Canada. I think this USA hype about not having a distributor is all made up gossip. If you research the movie at all,you will find that it has a distribution company located in California attached to it! LOL! Very sad though that as I leave the theatre I will have a new feeling,a new emotion, and that will be of knowing that this is the final time I will ever see Heath on the big screen. Heath I miss you, I enjoyed the short time we worked together, may you RIP.My friend.
it comes out on Dec. 26th & YES that DOES include the U.S.A as well!!
