Minor point – The Doctor has never guested on Torchwood (other way around though).
‘Torchwood: Children of Earth’ was the greatest most fantastic thing on TV in all of 2009. Everything in that series had so much dramatic weight that at its conclusion you are left wondering where they could possibly go from here? I write this in 2011 and now 2 years later am eagerly awaiting the return of Torchwood as it returns to TV on STARZ with all new episodes and a relocation to the US. John Barrowman and Eve Myles both return in this new continuation, and no doubt it will engender a whole new legion of fans who were previously unfamiliar with this program. Hooray for Torchwood!
