Only Michael Emerson from Lost??? How could they snub Josh Holloway, who was a major standout this season, and Elizabeth Mitchell who finally wrested the top female title from Evengeline Lilly this season? And I am shocked that Katherine Heigl was ignored, though I always love to see Chandra Wilson’s name on the list. Also kind of surprised to see that none of the Desperate Housewives ladies were recognized.

    Totally agree with Yasser.
January Jones gave the best performance by an actress in 2008….in any medium (yes, I’m even including Kate Winslet’s powerhouse perf in “Revolutionary Road”).
The fact that Jones wasn’t nommed–not even in the supporting actress category–is a disgrace.

I absolutly LOVE House, so I hope they win something, I wish they would bring back the original CSI people, I think it was way better then these other ones. Just my opinion.

One “Heroes” nomination? I know it was far from a good season, but not even something for make-up?

Yay for How I Met Your Mother! It’s certainly one of the most funniest shows on TV today. Buuuut Emmy still was stupid for snubbing Cobie Smulders, who was a riot this season concerning the legendary use of her pregnancy! Shame on those voters for completely snubbing Chuck!

Only Michael Emerson nominated from Lost??? Where the heck were Josh Holloway and Elizabeth Mitchell who gave brilliant performances and wrested the titles of Top Male and Female from Matthew Fox and Evangeline Lilly respectively. And I am shocked that Katherine Heigl didn’t get nominated, although I always love to see Chandra Wilson’s name on the list. Also kind of surprised that none of the ladies from Desperate Housewives were nominated.

I am so glad that Jeremy Piven isn’t nominated this year! He has absolutely ROBBED Neil Patrick Harris for best supporting actor in a comedy series for the past two years. Hopefully now NPH will win like he deserves. He is absolutely BRILLIANT!

So excited to see some love for Cat Deeley on the message board! I’m glad I’m not the only one who recognizes that she is by far the best reality competition host out there.
    And no BSG nods? Frak.

Love the nods for Clement and FOTC.
Unhappy that Robert Sean Leonard didn’t get any love for Best Supporting Actor.

No Battlestar Galactica for Outstanding Drama Series = Snub

It’s like you’ve been reading my mind. I’ve just given up the Emmys. Their snub of Mary McDonnell makes no sense, except the voters seem to be terrified of the sci-fi genre. Never mind that Battlestar Galactica transcended the genre to create the best drama, plain drama, on television since The West Wing. Heck, better.

Bruce Campbell from Burn Notice should have gotten a supporting actor nod…

  • Jim

Chuck????!!!! Zachary Levi! Yvonne Strahovski! Joshua Gomez!

  • CGPK

Sutherland gets a nod for 24 Redemption (awful, and same old same old) but Alexander Skarsgard doesn’t get one for Generation Kill? Criminal.
