Just finished watching this on DVD… As someone who *knew* Wakefield was coming back as soon as I saw the photo of him (I am HUGE Callum Rennie fan, and knew they’d have to have him either in major flashbacks or still alive), I have to say I didn’t expect an accomplice for awhile. While it wasn’t the best show I’ve ever seen, I was entertained throughout (including the parts where i was yelling – “are you all STUPID?!” when they’d split up or something equally idiotic). Was the ending ridiculous? Absolutely. Did I have trouble with Henry’s reasons for following in dad’s bloody footsteps? Definitely. But I had a good time, and even cared about a couple of the characters (though not the ones who survived).

The Moment i actually knew and pin pointed henry as the killer was in episode 2 maybe 3 during the stag night, as soon as i saw christopher goram and knowing him like i do from other shows i thought, ooooooh he looks dodgy *haha* bet he’s the killer, then in the same episode where that dyke was drowning in the swimming pool and richards there or who ever the old skinny blonde guy is it’s henry thats giving her mouth 2 mouth, he come out of nowhere, from episode 2/3 i never trusted henry, i didn’t like the way his eyes would go evil when ever no-one was looking at him and he always seemed to be holding something back / he had that look in his eyes which said…my god if you don’t shut her up i’ll kill you right now look , even when the one who tackled him off cliff top in series finale come back into it i still thought the way henry looked at him he could be the darkside one, i didn’t expect wakefield to be alive i thought plain and simple Henry would be the killer with the logic and reason that it was family related, i have to say thats either genius by me spotting it the first time i saw henry properly when i properly sat down to watch this or just not enough imagination from the story tellers…the only other person bar henry i saw in episode 2 or 3 the first episode i watched was that one who got chucked off the bridge by wakefield at first i thought he was a dodgy creepy possible pyscho but im glad i stuck with henry…if your going for comic value i’d say chris goram is still pretty pe’d off JAKE 2.0 got cancelled after 16 episodes and channelled his anger for the role of henry for jake 2.09 being cancelled haha kidding he could of used that in his logic and reason, the nanobot’s malfunction and make him snap hee hee, but seriously put christopher goram in this type of show, the thriller/suspense/horror mould and he should always be suspect no.1, he reminds me of a young zachary quinto i.e sylar from heroes

I WATCHED THE Harpers Island: Solved thing after the series finale (IN THE U.K) and CHRISTOPHER GORAM HIMSELF SAYS when he kills sulley he says “YOU SHOULD OF NEVER DOGGED TRISH” then the blonde english one “cal” said, im from texas and we never say that, i found out dogged means to bother/hit on her/not taking no for answer whilst they (henry n trish) was dating (before they come to the island) it was “you should of never dogged trish” go to the website, check it out, it’s not rocket science its not dug or dumped, he clearly says Dogged

i havent watched the very last one yet, but if what you are sayingis true, i will die myself. i have left the pub early to get home and watch this, it has taken over my life!!so this betta have a good ending and you are all joking, then i can start counting the minutes until 9 o clock sunday night!!! and i agree, why is Wakefield invinsible.even my 17 yr old son commented the same. Even so, Wakefield is a fekin scary geezer!!

I like the format of the show – a shortish miniseries with a definite ending. No questions left unanswered, except what were the writers thinking??? The acting was good and I got into the show reasonably quickly. But….I remember thinking “I hope the writers aren’t lazy and have more than one killer, a la Scream” and that’s exactly what happened. It is too easy to write a whodunit when you have another person carrying out murders when their accomplice has an alibi. Around this revelation it just degenerated into a slasher flick (again, ala Scream).
Just don’t get why Henry would want an uncle that he is presumably fond of killed, not to mention his best friend. And I don’t see how someone that loopy can hide it so well from friends and family long term – he was well liked by a lot of people. Hopefully, that means I’m not a psychopath.
