Perez Hilton is a sign of the times, and is a perfect reflection of the cesspool which has come to represent Pop Culture.
I admit to s alight chuckle when I read one of the comments which said that Perez is immoral. Um, YEAH! He embraces a lifestyle which goes against morality and the standards which built western Civilization: namely homosexuality. Of course, these days it is in vogue to embrace those who chose a depraved lifestyle, and is symptomatic of the decline of our once-great civilization.
Having impulses (be they desire for same sex relations, relations with children, relations with animals) doesn’t make someone evil, but acting on them is definitely an evil act. Every major religion in the world makes a strong stand agains same-sex relations and sexual immorality. Until early in the 20th century, homosexuality was considered a psychiatric disorder – until such time that the liberals made such noise that this classification was dropped.
We are sinking fast. Every year is worse than the previous, and the fact that this very ill man is held up as anyone’s role model – let alone is touted as a “celebrity” is very convicting evidence of our society at large, and how wrong and off track we have gone.
Setting all the previous aside, he acts in a mean-spirited and ugly way, as a character-assassin. Why is anyone giving this self-promoter attention? I really do not understand.
We must be very careful who we hold up as models. They reflect ourselves.
