I saw BWP at Angelica Theatre in NYC before it was hugely popular. A friend of mine suggested I see it. I went by myself (not unusual for a New Yorker) and had no idea what to expect. The theatre was small and jam packed. When the house lights went down the theatre was jet black! Usually there would be some kind of lighting in the theatre when the movie started so you could see the isle, etc.. Not during this movie. This created a feeling of being disoriented and lost.
I was scared from beginning to end and I will NEVER forget the ending. I didn’t care if the movie was true or not–I just couldn’t wait to get out of the theatre after seeing Mike facing the wall!!!

Well let me tell you, last night I watched this movie for the first time, I was kinda doing something else and so didn’t catch the write up on it real good only to know it was supose to be a documentary and thought it was a true story, I was inpressed at it so much that I told my dad this morning about it and we both did the search on it only to find out it was just a movie and let me tell ya it was done great, I am still amazed at how it was all done,

Woop only americans can be so peebrained monkeys to believe in movies like this. I watched this in the time i was at college and it wasnt scary back then either rather annoying.

These so called actors in it wasnt better than anyone from the street. You can get drifters like these easily throw them some money so they can spend 3-4 months more from their life on crack before they end up floatin in the LA river, bravo…

Many years ago a roommate and dared each other to watch an entire Pauly Shore stand-up routine on tv. I never thought anything would ever come close to the awfulness of it… Until a friend rented Blair Witch. And it beat Pauly Shore to a pulp.

Watch this, then go hiking in the woods miles away from any other person and see hwo you feel about it. Personally, I went camping after it and at night, it was on my mind.
But it’s not for eveyrone. If you have no imagination and must be hand held through something, and have the attention span of a gnat, it’s not for you.

I remember seeing it the first time, and after the final moments it felt as though the air had been sucked out of the theater. People were speechless. It was stunning, innovative and amazing to watch. It didn’t have the same shock value upon future viewing, but it was definitely ground breaking… and polarizing as well.
