Suddenly, I don’t want Zac to be compared to Pattinson or to have him coming in second to Crawford (who’s winning with 64 percent of the vote). I’m pretty sure I would even sit through 17 Again right now. Am I the only one experiencing a sudden, new allegiance to the High School Musical star now that he’s the teensiest bit of an underdog and has those biceps but should lose that necklace?

I don’t know that I feel allegiance to him because he’s a bit of an underdog. I CAN relate to him a little more now that he has a haircut that makes him look like a man, instead of a trendy young woman in her 20s.
Don’t worry about Zac. He’s actually talented, remember? He’s in it for the long haul. It’s so much better to build a career and leave the teen idol to the other two. Who would he rather be do you think : Johnny Depp or Tom Cruise?

I think it is sad that Zac feels he has to copy the current “it” boy, Robert. I love robert because he represents somthing so different than Zac and all of the rest of the Typical Hwood boys. His looks are only a part of his appeal. I have nothing against Zac, however he is just so typical, and desperately trying to remake himself into something he is not. He should stick to the Disney theme a little longer, that is where he is adored.
Take heart, I’m pretty sure the People poll is rigged. Chace is their hottest bachelor and they can’t want him to lose right? But Zac has a much wider fanbase and in any legit poll he’d bury Chace.
And you should watch 17 Again… Zac is awesome in it!

I’m with Zac all the way. He’s the only one of those pretty boys with any actual talent or staying power. I’m a huge fan of him, his bicepts and the new do (it’s nice to see his eyes again, the hair was getting a little out of control).
The only actor that stands a chance of a good career is Robert Pattison. Forget Twilight, Pattison has proven he can act. Efron is just a pretty boy, I unfortunately put myself through the High School Musical movie and I feel he is a poor actor with a face tweens seem to swoon over. He and Chace just are a tad bit too ‘pretty’ for my taste. Robert may not be the manliest man, but I definitely appreciate his looks, and if he starts to pick the right movies I do believe he has a lengthy career ahead of him. I realize I may be the minority, and for the record I disliked Twilight, but if I were to bet on anyone’s career it’d be Pattison. And as for looks, Pattison scores yet again. I mean Efron and Crawford are your typical tween idols, there’s something different about Pattinson. He is unique looking, and in my eyes- very good looking. Who cares if he isn’t grinning and going a doing a song&dance number. Give me brooding over pretty any day of the week.

When Sasha Barron-Cohen has the EXACT SAME haircut as you in a satire you know it’s time for a change. Also I find both Effron and Crawford to be strangely inter-changeable and twink like.

zac has a bigger fanbase than rob? please tell me you’re joking. lol. if zacky boy starts being trampled and mobbed when he’s just running down the streets with screaming girls fainting over him, AND gets clipped by a cab because of more screaming girls THEN you can talk. and it’s not even teens going crazy over him, which i find odd, it’s women in their 20s-40s.
funny, what you said doesn’t mean Rob has a big fanbase. He has a CRAZY fanbase. There is a difference. Also, most of those fans can’t distinguish between Edward and Rob.
Well, Gillian, I would have to agree with you on the fact that some Twilight fangirls cannot distinguish Rob from Edward Cullen. Edward is a pretty boy character that CAN be compared to Zac and Chase. Robert Pattinson, on the other hand, is completely different. I like Rob and his edgy, scruffy, rock style. Edward is way to pretty boy for me. The screaming fans following him around NY, in no doubt to my mind, need serious therapy and thinks he IS Edward Cullen.
And just to add and I will digress, why does everything have to be a freaking competition. I see potential in Zac AND Rob. Both have not yet proven themselves in the industry, yet, but they seem to be making great career choices. Zac gets definite props for turning down Footloose and Rob’s movie in NY sounds like it is going to be great. I wish both of them luck.
People who are fans of a sparkly vampire should not be dissing someone for dancing and singing. Both can be claimed to be equally silly, though I think the dancing and singing requires a lot more talent. And as perhaps such a derivative description of Rob is unfair, so is it unfair to call Zac a moron or girly or lame or gay just for being a capable song and dance man. I’m just sayin’… just sayin’.
