File this under Things You Have to Watch Because I Had To. On last night's Tonight Show, Howie Mandel was a man on a mission — to not let Conan O'Brien speak. In part 1, we get to hear about Howie's wife shopping for a thong and her excuses for not wanting to have sex. In part 2, embedded after the jump, Howie explains his January hospitalization for an irregular heartbeat — and how the defibrillator burned his nipple. I'll let him take the story from there.

As irritating as Mandel was, I still have to say Sacha Baron Cohen (as Bruno, of course) made Conan more uncomfortable by giving him a lap dance. Just sayin’
i was watching and it was painful. i think it was pretty obvious that howie was snorting some coke or possibly taking some ecstasy.
Actually Jeff, the man suffers from adult ADHD. I suspect that he was off his meds not taking illegal narcotics.

More to the point, what did you expect from Conan. Since Jay went off the air, the Tonight show has become a sleezy magnet for the scum of the acting profession. Just another of NBC’s stupid blunders. And they wonder why ratings are slipping. If Conan must stoop to such low levels for ratings, he better start looking for another job. Cant wait til he gets the boot
Conan is an excellent host. The problem is some of the guests NBC has stuck him with the past couple of weeks. You can tell he’s trying to be professional and keep things PG for the earlier time slot he’s inherited, but it’s like NBC is trying to push him to do his 12:30 stuff in the 11:30 time slot, which just isn’t going to work. I don’t think Conan is “stooping” to any low: I think NBC is desperate for the young demographic and assumes we’ll eat this kind of garbage up. I’m 22 and grew up watching Conan, and I hate to see his new show used by the network this way…
