I enjoyed the movie very much. My one complaint is that one scene was not necessary. The scene where Johnny Depp’s character walks brazenly into the police station. unless that actually happened I felt like it was not even remotely believable. And pointless. We understood by then how cocky and reckless he could be…But still very good altogether.
More Depp and Bale together would’ve been cool, but hey. still good movie.
MSW>Michael Mann says that scene actually did occur. Recent interview he did w/aintitcool.
This movie was garbage, dont waste your time or money on it, not only were the facts completely off base. How can you make a movie based on actually people and events, and get everything wrong? The hand held digital photgraphy made it really bad grainy picture at times and blurry if the actors moved to fast, also the movie seems as if it were filmed 1 foot away from everything, so many extreme closeups i thought it was filmed by Wayne and Garth. the scenes are totally disconnected and you just dont get an understanding of the characters motives or drives. I understand they didnt want to make a documentary but come on at least get the facts strait. And do we really need to be right in everyones face throughout the movie? save your money folks see something else.
Am I the only one who was distracted by Cotillard’s painful struggle with the English language? She looked like she could barely speak it, let alone act in it.
I dnt care who disagrees, the movie was AMAZING!! I LOVED it! Johnny depp is such a great amazing actor, how ever I will admit some of the scenes were a bit close, (jst something I noticed) other than that I have nothing negative to say. I will keep going to watch that movie over and over again till its out on dvd
the scene where they killed dillinger was very sad. I didn’t want them to show it, but either way Depp and Bale were both amazing in the movie. That was the best movie I’ve seen in a while! It is my favorite movie…
I think Johnny Depp has all the potential to win Best Actor in a Leading Role come Oscars. Excellent performance from Depp as John Dillinger.
And very good overall movie. Public Enemies I think could be in the Top 10 movies of the year.
the worst part of this movie was when Johnny Depp (alias John Dillenger) cried, I just wanted to hug him and make it all better. Great movie!!
Authentic Midwestern locations were a waste, because of so many tight shots and close-ups. Johnny was wasted, Dillinger was a pretty colorful character but Johnny didn’t get enough screen time. It seems like I spent most of the movie staring up Christian Bale’s nostrils. And the scene where Dillinger stands in the middle of the street watching as Billie is busted? I believe in real life Dillinger watched from inside a car, he wouldn’t have been stupid enough to stand in the street. Thanks goodness Dillinger was dying during Depp’s final, awful line and it wasn’t audible.
boring movie and boring actors especially the laughable Cotillard

solid depp as dillinger…
for all the high impact prep bale’s into…mixed with his f u conceit, he choses to play it safe and give nothing special-my grandmother can do the same thing approaches…billy crup as young hoover and steve lange as the sage agent..excellent…christian bale as the head agent….zzzzzzz
i didn’t mind them not interacting much, because i really liked dillinger’s bravado. depp did a bang up job.
