Just because there’s no new episode tonight, however, doesn’t mean we can’t dish the show. (The surprisingly robust message boards on my blog item about last week’s Chloe-Cal death scene proved there are plenty of closet Harper’s fans lurking on the Internets.) With that in mind, I thought it might be high time for a couple of quick pre-finale polls about who’s in cahoots with John Wakefield in the rampant wedding-week killing spree, and which character we’re hoping will join the large and growing death toll before the final credits roll.
So…who’s helping Wakefield? I’d been thinking Jimmy and hoping Abby (what? sometimes I see homicide in her eyes!) since episode 1, but after last week’s end-of-episode reveal that Abby’s late dad was keeping a file on Jimmy, I’m almost certain the show will take it in a different direction. A few of you pointed out in the message boards of my previous Harper’s item that Henry was ridiculously bloody after Abby discovered J.D.’s body, and what’s more, how come he’s always trying to stop our heroine from firing her rifle in Wakefield’s direction? As for who ought to die, well…I’m voting for annoying tween Madison, whose wide-eyed stares and sing-song speaking cadence ought to be locked (permanently) in that darkened chamber in the tunnel underneath the Inn. Right next to her whiny, ineffective mother, Shea. Wrong? Yes. But anyone who’s watching this show – and enduring Madison’s bone-chilling line reading of “One by one” – understands where I’m coming from. I’m so glad you posted about this! It’s been driving me crazy too. The show is such a guilty pleasure and I can’t wait to see the next episode.
Madison needs to go. When Wakefield is heading up to the bar, you think she would give a little more warning than “Mommy”
i used to be almost certain that Jimmy was the killer but now that they are trying to make you think its him, i don’t think so anymore. No i’m leaning towards Henry because he never wants to leave Abby alone even though he has a fiance.
as for who should die… absolutely Shea. she’s really annoying.
If Abby’s dad still suspected Jimmy, there’s no way he would give up his own life because Abby was in love with him. That would be beyond crazy. Henry seems another obvious choice but I’d be disappointed because he’s the only character left I have any lingering sympathy for – though that’s probably just because I heart Christopher Gorham. I think it’s got to be Sully. He started off dangerously annoying but has got more likeable recently – classic slasher movie development. He’s been characterised enough that we see him as a central character (unlike Danny, aka “who the heck is Danny?” or Trish for that matter. It really is a problem that 11 episodes in I can’t actually recall what she looks like), while staying obscure enough that we don’t really know anything about him.

I still have no idea, but I do agree that it cannot possibly be Jimmy now. This is the first time I have not known the ending to a mystery half way in and kudos for that, HI writers! I’m hoping it will not be Shea since I can’t figure out a good enough motive here and I hate it when too much new info is introduced quickly at the end of a mystery to explain everything. Henry seems to have many issues that make him believable as the killer. He so obviously loves Abby that my vote for the next victim is Trish since she is too stupid on this front to live.

I don’t think Jimmy is the second killer…I like him too much. Plus if he loved abby why go through the trouble of killing off her friends? None of them were contesting that he get her.
I think it could be henry…He has motive for every person that was killed if you think about it.
As to who i would like to see die? Now, don’t get me wrong, i like kids…but madison really needs to go. Really.

SHEA KILL HER OR I WILL! Good Lord, I mean seriously. I’m sorry, but when Madison was taken and they all had the choice of staying or leaving.. they should have left! One life or at least 10. I mean seriously people, and then she’s all “how could you” “madison this, madison that” shes so freaking annoying! She thinks her daughter is worth more then every single other person, she should have stayed and let the others go, but even when they all stayed, did she say thanks? NO, she was all “how could you even think about leaving?” yeah, madison’s a kid, but shes still one annoying heck of a kid! Chloe and Cal would be alive now and getting married if it weren’t for her! Chloe and Cal forever.

I am pretty sure the second killer is Henry, but I voted other because I have a sneaking suspicion Sully is the other killer – he looks so much like a younger Callum Keith Rennie (Wakefield).
What is annoying about Shea (or should I say, annoying about the storyline) is that even after her dad was killed and they knew there was a killer on the loose, she let Madison wander around alone. My kid would be in my sight line 100% of the time if I was in her shoes. They won’t kill her off though because she is the only parent Madison has left.
I’m pretty sure the killer is going to wind up being Henry, but I voted Other because I have a feeling Sully may be the surprising killer. His best friend’s have survived (Danny, Henry), it has been mentioned he had a crush on Abby, Wakefield was saving Chloe for something (his son, Sully?) and his two friends who DID die (Booth and the fat guy, whose name I forget) were either killed on accident (Booth) or killed as revenge for the accident (fat guy). Plus, Sully looks like a young Callum Keith Rennie (Wakefield).
I’m thinking Sully as well. When he and his friend (whose name escapes me) were boarding up the door to the tunnels he was having a creepy monologue moment about needing to change things about himself. I thought he was going to kill his deadlocked friend right then and there before the door started banging.
I think the killer is either Henry or Abby…. I’m with you Michael, Abby has always been suspicious since the beginnning, but Abby’s our “heroine”. Therefore, I doubt she’s our killer. That leaves me with Henry. He won’t let Abby shoot at Wakefield, he claims he can’t remember how he got the blood on his shirt after JD, and when everyone was gonna leave the island after Mr. Wellington, he offered to stay behind for Trish’s father with a killer still at large… Suspicious. I don’t want it to be Henry because (unlike many characters on HI) I actually like Henry, but thats my theory. Can’t wait till next Saturday!
P.S. I am in love with Jimmy and if he has anything to do with the killings I’ll be crushed. I don’t think he will just because the producer seem to be pushing us in that direction and they want us to be shocked.

Thank god someone is buzzing this finale up, I am so pumped! Totally going to be Henry though, He planned the entire wedding so he could get Abby to come back to the island. Remember in the first episode when she was all like “Oh, I wasn’t sure I was going to come back” and he was like “I was.” Killer.
I don’t think the killer is Jimmy or Abby. I don’t want it to be Henry or Trish. I would be shocked if it were Danny, Sully, or Shea. I’m really interested in the motive behind all this…I am also wondering why Trish is in her wedding dress in the trailer for the finale…what would cause her to put on her dress? Where was she? Can’t wait!
My boyfriend has been saying its Henry since day one and we’re waiting impatiently to have him proved right!! Soo grateful to be Canadian so I’ll get to see it on Thursday!!!!

if you think about it, everyone who has been killed has been in an argument of some sort with another character before they died.
of course Wakefield and the second killer have been killing as well, but many of the murders that have been committed so far are by none other than the entire cast. dead or alive, they’re all killers.

I think Henry is the killer. Also I want Madison to be killed off. That character is too annoying. I’m loving Harper’s Island & can’t wait till next week’s finally. I thought the killer was JD, but now I think Henry set him up.
I think Danny and Sully are going to be goners in the finale, and Henry is my top suspect. Jimmy is a red herring.
