Transformers 2 made over 200 million dollars in five days in the U.S. another 200 million overseas, and is raking in +14- 15 million dollars a day during the week. That’s alot of business to ask another movie to achieve this year. Normally you get one movie every year or two that has that type of drawing power. There are some good movies yet to come out, but putting Transformer type expectations on them is too much.
To Dan,
Being polite, it says “Man’s Earliest Civilization” and I think that’s based on their society and cities. Certainly there were earlier human groups, but they were more migrant and didn’t settle into permanent and prominent areas, or so I believe.
Also, the Mayans were the ones to have the calendar year end in 2012, so it basically the premise behind the movie.
Just my thoughts.
