Maybe it's because I think Brian Kinney would've loved the jacket-scarf combo Ashton Kutcher sports at the start of the new trailer for Spread — the film in which Kutcher stars as a "sexual grifter" who sleeps his way to the finer things in Los Angeles — but all I kept thinking watching it was, Why aren't you Gale Harold?* I fear that the movie won't be as dark and delicious as I want it to be. Instead, it'll be something Oxygen could play on a Saturday night after A Lot Like Love. Different, but still safe. What do you think? More Anne Heche, right?
* When I wasn't thinking Has Ashton's voice always been that low?, Nikki is sort of a stupid name, and Wow, that looks like the same house he shot that Nikon commercial in.

wow, thank you, my college roommate and I have been saying for years that Ashton is like a younger, less sexy version of Gale Harold. But then, we adored Brian Kinney, and many people are not as sexy as Brian Kinney.
I love Gale Harold…I would love to see him in a big movie where he could really show his amazing talent. AK is too goofy…Gale is way sexier.

I’ve been hoping for a long time that Gale would be in something worthy of his talent.DHW really did’nt give him anything that was good enough,his character was boring! I can’t wait to see him in something Great. I’ve been kind of concerned lately, when I saw a more recent photo he looked sooo thin,maybe just because of the accident and not feeling well for a while. Hope he’s doing really well.I really adore him.

Okay, once and for all, let us, everyone, realize that GALE HAROLD CANNOT ACT!! I don’t mean kinda-can’t-act like Demi Moore or Chase Crawford. They are Meryl and Olivier comparatively. This guy gives Middle School Play quality line readings!! He always has. How does he keep getting work? He’s hot, yes. But come on now!! There are way better hunks that actually can muster a pinch of acting gravitas.

Gale would be perfection in this role. He is so sexy and smooth. The only question would be his age even though I think he still looks as beautiful as he did at 30.

A as matter of fact, I would. I love Ashton Kutcher, and I think he’s beautiful, but for some reason I don’t find him very sexy. He’s like your funny kid brother, who just happens to be extremely pretty. I’ve seen him try and be sexy on the screen (“The Guardian”) and it sort of works, but not really that well. Gale Harold is a little older than Ashton, but he doesn’t really look it. And for sexiness, he’s worth a hundred Ashton Kutcher’s.

I MISS GALE! so so much, especially in this movie. He would have played Nikki so understated, made him seem so much more real and flawed.
