Just watched Kobe Bryant's interview with Conan O'Brien because I like to pretend wayyyyy after the fact that I still vaguely care about basketball. But the real highlight of last night's Tonight Show was the following segment with William Shatner, (possibly blurred) vision in seersucker. I believe The Shat is the first of Conan's L.A. guests to require post-production pixelation of a body part. It was just his middle finger…though from the way he was gesturing at an arm's length to signify a different digit, you might expect otherwise. I just love it when Conan jumps on top of his desk. That great white giant is taller than the enormous L.A. moon. It's the only time a crazy late-night backdrop's proportions finally make sense.

It’s always a great (and by “great”, I mean “insane”) time when Shatner comes to Conan’s show. How awesome would it be to see Conan on the delightfully loopy “Raw Nerve.”
Conan did not jump on top of his desk – Conan stepped up on to it.

BTW, Shatner has never been able to do the Vulcan sign. He was supposed to in the scene in Wrath of Khan where Spock and he were separated by glass, as Spock died, but he still couldn’t do it–managing only to spread his fingers against the glass. Some people just can’t do it.

HILARIOUS. As a short person, it shocks me to see Conan STEP UP onto his desk with no effort. I would probably have to step on my chair to step onto the desk. I have height envy.
I LOVE Conan! How hilarious! I caught an ep of The Tonight Show earlier this week for the first time since he took it over, and it seemed like Conan was a bit out of his element. This clip though was good ole fashion Late Night with Conan schtick. I hope he keeps just being himself, because he really is super funny.
I hate this show. Conan is so boring that he tries too hard to be funny. Cannot wait until this fall when Jay Leno will be back to NBC. Right now, though, lots of us are really enjoying David Letterman. I never realized how funny he was until just lately.
Connan is a jerk – not funny just stupid With Shatner on – it was his spot light and Connan should have just left the stage Tonite show will disappear within a year with Connan as host!
I believe Conan needs to learn to respect his guests. His shows are all about himself, not the guests. He belittles the guest thinking he is being funny.
I dunno guys… bunch of hooey about nothing. Both of those guys have a great sense of humor and they were playin’. I thought it was funny. Made me chortle!
I’m typically kind of lukewarm on Conan…but that was pretty darn funny.

You guys just don’t get it and that is sad. That was a very funny bit and Shatner was PLAYING ALONG with Conan. If you had ever watched Shatner on Later Night with Conan O’Brian you would know this.
Jay Leno was great on the Monologues and other bits but was kind of BORING when it came to interviews. Conan actually spices up the interviews with a lot of HUMOR and in most cases the actors he interviews jump right in and let themselves go and have fun.
Apparently the more staid, read over 70, viewers like things to be more low key and slightly boring so they are ripping on Conan.
No television show has had me laughing this hard, ever. Shat + Conan is comic genius.

Conan is great. It is nice to have someone one that doesn’t bore me to death.

Since his Star Trek days, the egomaniac Shatner has been one of the least liked of the cast — no one can stand him. There was a place for his type on Boston legal. On Conan? Andy Kaufman…not!
The video is hilarious. Shatner’s shtick was perfect for Conan’s previous “late-late” show; maybe not appropriate for the new time-slot. Now that it’s on earlier, some viewers may not be aware how raunchy Conan’s previous show was.
