Reese Witherspoon will produce and star in a comedy called Pharm Girl. It's said to revolve around a woman who uncovers unsettling truths about the pharmaceutical industry as she moves up the corporate ladder in a large drug company. Bad Santa writers Glenn Ficarra and John Requa are penning the script, and in talks to direct, which means it could be funnier and darker than that cringe-worthy title suggests. Slezak just came up with: Chemistry Lessons, Where There's a Pill…, Lab Rat, and, if what she uncovers happens to threaten her engagement to a colleague at the company, Bride Effects. Annie Barrett votes for Lil' Pharma, because it's a play on Big Pharma, references Witherspoon's size, and is hip to the "Lil" trend (Mama, Rounds, Wayne, Kim).

“Pharm Girl”??? If the producers wanted an awesomely bad title for a Reese Witherspoon movie, why not just go with “Sweet Home Alapharma.”
Why not use “Possible Side Effects” It was the title of a Showtime show that the network didn’t pick up. If that channel doesn’t want it…
“phat” never caught on, and whoever says it did is lying, so why would “pharm” be any more popular of a word typically spelled with an “f”? since when did hollywood take creative licenses on grammar? weird. and just a bad, bad title.

I suggest “Bad Medicine”. It is relevant to the theme of the movie, it keeps in line with the filmmakers’ previous work, “Bad Santa” and mostly, it uses a kick-ass Bon Jovi tune. Not that I’m even a crazed fan, but come on! That song rocks it!

I think they should junk the whole thing together. I work in pharma and I am sure it will be riddles with non-truths and lies to get people all worked up.

I have worked in Pharma for 16 years. I could tell a LOT of stories of the underbelly of Pharma and the unethical behavior that I have witnessed.
At the beginning of my career it was truly about partnering with a physician, giving them the information on your drug for the appropriate patient.
At one time you had to show your transcript in an interview to prove how many science courses you took in college.
Now the industry has been flooded with nothing but lemmings and cheerleaders who promote off label much more than you would want to believe and spewing the company Mantra.
I hope this film portrays Pharma as how it has evolved into nothing but a marketing machine all for profit.
I would gladly share what I have witnessed over the last few years.
