You know when people say, "I could listen to James Earl Jones read the phone book" or "I could watch Eva Longoria make oatmeal for Salma Hayek" (okay, maybe that last one is just me)? Well, I could watch these three guys talk about guitars until the cows come home:
Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page, U2's The Edge, and The White Stripes' Jack White? Yes, please.
What about you? Does the prospect of three musicians talking and playing sound like bliss or sheer boredom?

This sounds really good. I’m in awe of these 3 guys. Best players of their respective generations.
It premiered at Sundance, I was there but didn’t get a chance to see it. I wish I had, though, people who did see it loved it.
I’ll watch anything with Jack White. Anytime, anywhere. Edge and Jimmy Page are just a bonus.
Try as I might, I still don’t get the hype around Jack White’s guitar playing. Yeah, his sound is pretty unique, but I still think he’s technically just good, not great. I certainly wouldn’t term him an “icon” like Page or The Edge. Still, as a rock music fan, I’ll probably check this out.
The bit at the end where Jack White’s playing whatever the hell he’s playing and then he stops, says, “Who says you need to buy a guitar?” and gives a little shrug while inhaling on his cigarette kills me. Why is that so effin’ cool?
I saw the trailer for this the other night. And in the beginning, when Jack White is making that contraption with the Coke bottle, and I didn’t know what the movie was yet, I literally thought “this is either a documentary about Jack White or a sequel to Benny and Joon.”
OMG JACK WHITE, I love you. I will watch this and probably own it.
This was the best film I saw at Sundance this year by far! If you have any interest in music whatsoever, go see it! The jam session between the three of them is worth the price of admission alone.
It sounds like bliss! Can’t wait to see this!!!!!!!!!
Oh, f-yeah! SO there!! White is the bast- ard stepson of Page & Dylan anyway. Taking my 13-year-old son!
I’d be there in a heartbeat, flailing my $12.50 in the air, even if Jimmy Page was only in the film for two seconds… greatest guitarist ever from the greatest band ever…
I saw this film at Sundance and Jack White was there. The film is awesome! I am not a rock guitar person, and went along because this was the film my husband was most excited to see. It was an amazing film and became on of my favorites of the festival. It also gave me a new appreciation for the music of all three musicians.
Don’t miss this film! I can’t wait to see it again in a theater with a LOUD sound system, as we saw it a little library theater at Sundance.
I saw it at Sundance, too, and it was pretty freakin cool. You’re right, whoever said this in the comments already, that bit at the beginning/end of the trailer where Jack White says “who says you gotta buy a guitar?” was one of the most badass cool things I’ve witnessed.
