Heidi Pratt says Al Roker 'attacked' her: In other news, Heidi Pratt loves fame

Everyone's favorite couple, Spencer and Heidi Pratt, visited The Today Show this morning for a brief chat with Al Roker and, true to form, they were able to mine some controversy out of it. In the tame clip below, Roker asked Speidi a few pointed but valid questions about their despicable/delicious behavior on I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here — like whether they were proud of the actions, and whether they actually thought they were tortured on the set of the show. Again: valid questions. Roker was calm, if a bit antagonistic, but certainly, it was nothing extraordinary.

Well, poor Heidi subsequently responded to the "abuse" by speaking out on Ryan Seacrest's radio show: "To be honest, I would never be interviewed by that man again….Ireally would advise women especially to be careful around him, becauseI feel like he definitely came and attacked me, and I did notappreciate that at all." Can we all just pause and reflect how ridiculous that statement is? Roker, essentially a walking, talking fuzzy teddy bear, is apparently a danger to women. Come on!

Anyhow, Roker responded via Twitter with the following: "Heidi and Spencer are an interesting couple. famous for…beinginfamous. Bad and vacuous behavior. I think we're at minute 11 of their15." Amen! Personally, I was hoping we were at minute 14:59 instead of 11.

Who else has had more than enough of the sad phenomenon that is Spencer and Heidi Pratt? Or do you think Roker was a little too harsh on the couple?

Honestly, I would donate money to EW to never, ever mention the Pratts again. I’d even pay a monthly fee.
Of course Al Roker wasn’t too hard on them. They deserved worse. Her comments were classless and painfully obvious attempts at getting attention that sadly, we keep giving them.
Minute 11 means too many minutes left.
Seriously, EW, think about it. I bet I could get other readers on board with my cause.

I liked Al’s twitter response. Go Al!

    I’m with SarahP!

Oh, noooo! This puppy attacked me! Or maybe it was a butterfly! Or a duckling! Anyway, I was ATTACKED!

  • Scott

I’ll chip in for the fund to never mention these ridiculous people again. They’ve gone beyond being an embarassment to everyone in the television industry to being an embarassment to the entire human race.

I do find it a tiny bit hypocritical to wish the media would stop paying attention to these people within an article which pays attention to these people.
Then again, I’m the a-hole that clicked on the article to read it, so I suppose we’re all guilty. Luckily, I only know about these do-nothings from reading about them in EW. Otherwise, I’ve never experienced one live action moment of them.

  • AuntieMM

These people make celebrity news WHY??????? I bet she cries just as much to media if she breaks a nail. If she doesn’t want the attention and all that goes with it…GET OUT! I can’t wait for all the boohoo’ing that goes on once she poses for Playboy…….wait I’m sure they’ll airbrush out the bad parts so she won’t cry and to make her pimp husband happy.

  • Jinny

I wish people would stop caring about these two idiots! No more press = no more fame for the fame whores!

  • Cyn522

I watch the Today show every morning while getting ready for work (actual work not reality show whoring)and this morning I snapped the set off as soon as these two showed up-I have never watched the Hills or any other show these people have been on but for some reason my gag reflex kicks in whenever I see them….good for Al for giving them h*ll-almost sorry I missed it!

  • natalie

I agree with Jeremy. It was a typical interview. This bizarre excuse for a human is proud of that? She’s doing Playboy but invokes the name of Jesus at the drop of a dime?!?!?!?
The best way for them to go away is to never print their names in any publication again. I never watched the Hills or any of that ‘reality’ tv crap.
GO AL! I feel bad NBC brass forced him to interview them. What idiots! NBC is going down the tank. Viewers want NEWS interviews. I don’t watch ET, Access etc precisely ’cause I don’t want to see their faces. Come on TODAY…get back to the news.

  • AmyK

I think they are at minute 23 of their allotted 15, well past the time they should be long gone. Can’t we leave Guantanamo open and ship them there so they can see what real torture is about?

  • Sharon

This is what happens when you live in a world where no one EVER calls you on your bad behavior to your face – where the people around you, who are depending upon you in some way for their livelihood – producers, PR people, agents, etc. – never point out that you are doing something wrong. So that when, FINALLY, someone looks at you and suggests that maybe, just MAYBE, acting like a spoiled two year old isn’t cool, you immediately feel like you were attacked.

  • Briana

    Who cares? End of story.

  • SoCalGal

Al Roker – RESPECTED weatherman, journalist, all around great guy. The Pratts – reality tv idiots. They are screaming foul because he called them on EVERYTHING they cried about. Too Bad, So Sad. Get the F@%$ over it. Who wants to see Heidi, fake boobs, altered snout, injected lips NAKED? I rather see Al Roker naked, at least we know it is all real. Way to Go AL! I loved the interview.

  • Marc

Wait, explain who these people are to me?
We are all hungry for attention.. that’s why you should check out my popular wine tasting game . BlindWine dot com!!!!!! or if you want, just google “wine tasting game” and you can find it.. oh yah, tell Spencer and Heidi too

  • mikeshann

These two kids need their butts spanked. I’ve never seen more spoiled, inconsiderate, loud, obnoxious kids than these two. I’d say their 15 minutes of fame/shame is about up and we can all move on to more respectable issues to talk about. If I was their parents i’d run and hide or shoot myself for complete FAILURE. thx,

  • madison

they are trash. he looks like a bleached out homeless man, who should shave. SHE turned into ho-mama when ashe got her implants. NO slef confidence there. she thinks its all about her body, and there are no brains. they were meant for eachother.

  • OH Please

    LOL
    LOL
    LOL
This chick is CRAZY..same with that guy with her.

  • p

seriously though…i am apparently out of the loop…WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE and WHY are they “famous”? are they entertainers of some sort? musicians or actors or something? i have NEVER heard of them…are they just some rich couple that look like a toothpaste commercial come to life? is that what the world of “celebrity” has come to? “we are ‘attractive’ and rich and white” so CELEBRATE us by paying innordinate amounts of attention to everything we do.
    check please!
    I want off the ride.
    thhhpppptt.

Al Roker deserves a medal for not punching that douchebag Spencer in the face

Maybe Heidi Pratt, Carrie Prejean and Sarah Palin could all do one big reality show together! Get over yourselves people! Move on – nothing to see here!

  • KimmyCrackCorn

I saw them really for the first time (unless you count posed pics for the papparazzi and TMZ) on that “I’m a Celebrity” show and the funniest thing about them is how they use prayer like wishes (“I prayed we would go on a double date with Miley Cyrus, lo and behold it came true, so God loves us.”). They obviously don’t understand prayer, spirituality, relationship with God or religion. They’re annoying.

  • Sarah Palin playbook

“I really would advise women especially to be careful around him, because I feel like he definitely came and attacked me,”

  • Phil

This is why we have spoiled idiots like these two, running around, being paid to behave the way they are. We eat it up, and parents are not allowed to spank their children for being disrespectful. They can only tell them not to act that way, really harsh punishment for being a scumbag. Flashback 25 yrs ago, Heidi probably stated she was “attacked” by her parents when they tried to curb this behavior. The public needs to boycott these shows that allow people like this to profit from acting this way, same as the “Real Houswives” shows, everyone states how horrible these people are and wonder why they are given shows/money, when they are the ones providing the paychecks. Wake up people !!

  • Murtaaza Husain

Roker’s just being tough with them because Spencer was mean to a couple of fat sistas. Typical.

  • Larry Clifton

Roker is creepy looking. We don’t watch that channel partly because of him. The women are right to warn others.

  • DW

I was among the vast majority that had never even HEARD of this pair, and after seeing their pathetic ‘performances’ I wish I never had! They are completely a waste of air time, not to mention self-centered as hell, and unbelievably stupid! What did poor Al Roker do to be punished this way? If I was him, I’d be the one claiming ‘torture’. No one should be forced to endure even 2 minutes of these spoiled, brainless brats! My advice to them? Sit down and shut up!

  • Middento

I’m down with SarahP to never head from these people again. This clip is the first time I’ve actually watched anything concerning them and I have no idea why people actually pay attention to them in the first place. I could care less about Britney and Kevin and I would probably rather hear more about them than these two knuckleheads. Al Roker gives them four minutes too many: let us be DONE with them.
