Two years after his last critique of the nation's governing bodies (aka The Man) in 2007's Sicko, agitprop documentarian Michael Moore is back with a new movie — and this time, his target is…[drumroll]…The Economy! In a just-released teaser clip (above) for the untitled film, Moore puts on his trademark everyguy persona (and yes, a baseball cap) to poke fun at the big bad blue chip firms that helped get us into the recession.
As much as I think Moore's movies can be a little one-sided, I'm excited to see what he has to say about all this — especially since Hollywood's been its usual slow-poke self at addressing the crisis. (As far as I can tell, their best effort so far has involved John Travolta with a biker 'stache and a laptop. Pick up the pace, guys.)
What about you, PopWatchers? Are you interested to hear what Moore has to say about the economy?

So can’t wait for this. And that teaser was genius.
Bowling for Columbine was my favourite movie from him.

Even if he is a bit one sided at least it’s an opinion and something to debate over. That trailer is gold, very to the point and hilarious. I really want to see what he comes up with this time. Generally it’s something special and interesting.
The thing that is easy to forget when you read the headlines is that corporations like AIG are composed of people just like you and I … they aren’t some sort of Godzilla-like monster. Blaming the top managers of corporations is one thing, but blaming corporations as a whole is quite another.
Your kidding, RIGHT?
Count me in! I have always liked not just what he has had to say, but how he has said it. I find him very humourous, maybe more so because I’m a Canadian.
Saw this before watching the Pelhem remake. Enjoyed both, quite frankly…Travolta’s ‘stache and all.
Looking forward to it. Why, oh why, does our Entertainment industry wait for Michael to do it? Because there cowards, I suppose. He’s the canary in the mine. They let him take the first shots and then they come out when they think it’s safe to do so. Go for it, Michael, and God Bless.
Should be interesting. Wonder if he’ll lay the blame with the media as well for it’s “The sky is falling! The sky is falling!” hyperbole that made the recession far worse than it originally would have been.
What a loser
An obvious laid off Wall st. stockbroker, you are?
“A little one-sided?” A LITTLE? That’s a funny one. You got jokes.
Love him or hate him, the only guy with guts to expose these crooks who continue to rob America and Americans…
If Michael Moore has any balls (or soul) he’ll mention (in this documentary) that it was the Democrats who failed to remove the AIG bonus provision from the bank bailout. But I guarantee that he only tells one side of the story and emphasizes that Bush is to blame for the entire economic meltdown. What about the irresponsible homeowners who took out mortgages that they couldn’t possibly pay? Ninety percent of Americans pay their mortgages on-time and now that group is paying the price for the delinquent ten percent.
Inform your simple mind before, responding to a simple point.
loved his documentary on columbine and 9/11. Latest one was good too. It would be interesting to hear his twisted take on our economy. why is he the only one speaking out? who is john galt?
Twisted take? And how do you feel about the catastrophic events of Sept/Oct 08′.
Good Lord, this guy is such a tool! Use your powers for good Obiwan Moore and make a documentary that’s POSITIVE for a change. Enough with the negativism already!!
just stop! every one hates to watch anything you touch! You are the 21st century’s sensationalist!!!!!
Looks like it will be another great movie.
