Taylor Lautner Bicep Watch: The inaugural post

As long as behind-the-scenes footage of The Twilight Saga: New Moon keeps surfacing that reveals little more than Taylor Lautner's biceps, we thought we might as well make a separate PopWatch category for it. Ergo, the Taylor Lautner Bicep Watch. We launch with the video below. Taylor Lautner's biceps make their appearance at 2:10. (Robert Pattinson appears at 2:53, for eight seconds. Wah waaaaaah.)

    Ahhhh thank you soo much
Both of them are just sooooo sexyy!!

  • peter

i heard taylor lautner’s biceps pooped their pants, individually

  • Cal

His biceps wear pants? That’s odd.

  • crispy

WTF happened to this magazine? It used to be somewhat respectable, the Rolling Stone of movies and pop culture. Now it’s little more than toilet paper for masturbating cougars.

  • kate

peter-i am laughing so hard i am crying! no joke!

  • Sarah

Ohmigosh, he’s so cute and polite. Wow, a real gem of a guy. I hope Hollywood doesn’t change his sweet personality. And this video gave me more insight into what’s going to be in the film. :)

  • katie

    crispy: take a hike.
EW, Mandi et al. Twilight lovers – keep it up. Smooches. Though I’d rather see Rob’s, muscles, though – ‘kay?

  • Le

I’m sorry, is this Twilight Weekly?

  • bj

when did this become Twilame weekely

  • Snarf

My new mantra – too young too young too young too young…

  • Snarf

Too young! Too young! Too young! Too young.. (Does Abercrombie & Fitch know about this kid?) Too young!

  • Kayla

    i hate that wig.

  • Alice

Both Rob and Taylor are handsome and they both seem to be really great guys. I may be in the minority in liking them both = well. But I’m going to NM to support both of them

    Best. PopWatch Blog. Ever.

This? Is hilarious. I don’t know what is better – that “TLBW” actually exists, or it is tagged under “Inappropriate Crushes”! Go Mandi you perv!

  • TW

Ummm, isn’t this guy still a teenager? This seems weird and perhaps inappropriate.

  • Sarah

Wow, I love how his massive chest appears at 1:52. Awesome. 8D

  • bellaC

His face is so puffy now that he’s got the muscles. I hope he isn’t using steroids to help him get that physique.
It’s funny though how a watch for Taylor features a clip that features Robert as the lead image. And he’s in the clip the least. Suuuuurrreeeee, this is for Taylor, but you all really know who will bring in the most interest in this story. Rob! (we won’t tell)

  • Ed

If an over-21 male made comments like Mandi is making about a female’s body parts, it would be all over for him. So why is it all right for an over-21 woman (biologically, anyway) to make comments like this about a teen-age boy’s body? Double standard, perhaps?

  • Fatima

Seriously, readers have put up with a lot from EW and their foolish Twilight love, but this is getting out of control for non-stories and for ick stories too. Seriously, this is nothing. You are writing nothing. Feel bad about that. Really, feel bad.

  • Hannah

A lot of my friends just graduated from J School, are extremely talented (writing, editing, design, photo, Web, etc.) and are out of work. And somehow you’re getting paid to write pervy fluff articles about a 17-year-old boy (yes, he’s a boy) and manufacture non-news about Twilight so you have an excuse to keep writing about it. I’m a big fan of the books and I’m excited for New Moon, but this is RIDICULOUS. If you want to edit the Twilight fan newsletter, do that. But for the love of God, stop turning EW into Tiger Beat. I hope some non-crazy Twihards can co-sign with me on this. Photos, casting news, clips, interviews, cool. Blog away. But making up for a news dry spell with a pointless post like this is borderline ridiculous. Imagine if an older guy had a “boob watch” for a 17-year-old girl.

  • Katie

I’d love to know the rationale behind this article. Did your editors demand to know why 48 hours went by with no Twilight “news”? Or do you just like using your position to unleash gushing fangirl posts?
I like seeing EW cover Twilight news when it’s actually, you know, news. But I see something like this and roll my eyes. A lot of non-fans already think most of us are idiotic, pervy cougar types who have to lust after teenage boys because we can’t get men (yes, I’ve had friends say things like that). Stop proving them right.
I work hard trying to convince my friends that Twilight has worthwhile themes of love and selflessness and isn’t complete fluff (mostly fluff, but not completely). It’s hard to take anything about this series seriously when every other post on here is only talking about how hawt Pattinson or Lautner are.

If you’re doing a bicep watch, I hope someone made sure that he didn’t bulk up too fast. I remember guys in college who would drink shakes and tear their bodies up just to get biceps. They didn’t know what comprised half of what they were eating. I hope he didn’t do the Tom Cruise beef up, slim down, gain weight, get ripped method. He’s just a kid. That’s not good for the body. The scary part is if he did the protein, no carbs, bland chicken, weights until you want to vomit routine.

  • Heh

As for the cougars and the boob watch and the old women looking at young guys… Isn’t that what has been happening for hundreds–scratch that–THOUSANDS of years with men (OLD, SCARY, Donald Trump men) salivating and stalking/staring at younger girls! GAG! All you have to do is look at Spike TV, the Man Show, Sabato Gigante, Baywatch, etc. I’m old and will stick with True Blood and Moyer. Check out Hamilton, Anita Blake and Richard Zeeman!

  • Samantha LeAnne

I love the books, I support the movie(s), and I love getting news. But this my dear friend, is not news. Photos, new footage, interviews, and that kind of thing is news, but not this. Taylor is gorgeous and I totally agree with that, but I can think of at least 5 different stories that ARE news-worthy. It is hard to justify my love for these books to people, and these kind of articles make it even harder.
And I totally agree with Hannah! And I also agree with Katie, at least until the word “hawt” and I just can’t bring myself to use that since I’m no longer in high school.

  • Paco

waahh waahhh god, you people are whiny as hell! EW is a magazine, yeah but PopWatch is just the blog section of the EW website. If you think this blog represents the author’s ability as a journalist or anything else of that matter, you guys really need to get with the times. Not every blog post has to be an attempt of winning a Pulitzer or something. And guess what? You might hate Twilight but the whole Twilight thing is a big part of the entertainment community at the moment so as long as Twilight is creating movies, EW is going to cover it. Thats just the way it is. You dont like it, dont read the articles. Simple as that.
Mandi – Keep them coming. This article is hilarious. Love the “inappropiate crushes” tag.

  • Emily

I think almost everybody that commented sounded stupid.
I love Twilight and I can’t wait for New Moon, only because there is more of Taylor Lautner. lol :]

    • Riss

I agree with you; their comments were idiotic. Taylor Laughtner is just the cherry on top of a great series.

      • Riss

ooops i spelled his last name wrong . . . darn my horrible typing skills!

  • Oh dear …

    Emily,
Add your yourself to the list.
    Seriously.

  • Kay

The woman who wrote this article is an idiot. Have you ever read her live blogs for various TV shows? So unfunny it is pathetic.
