Maybe you don’t remember when Queen’s “We Will Rock You” dominated this same sort of role. Or what about the same band’s “We are the Champions”? Talk about driving a song into the ground. Both of those songs are of a dominant nature, while DSB is an uplifting type of song.
the song i hate that everybody else loves is “eye of the tiger”. call me crazy, i cannot stand that song.
It’s hard to take a writer seriously who doesn’t know the difference between “it’s” and “its.”
the reason itunes had dsb as #1 is there is a whole new generation of fans.while i became a fan at 12, irecently found out that my15yr old nephew loves dsb!!my friends son who is 16 also has dsb on his mp3 player, theres a journey fan born every minute
I can not stand “Dont Stop Believin”. I liked it until about 3 years ago? When for some reason it started to appear everywhere I went (bar, sports events, etc) Please stop believin this song has had its run.
Thank goodness there are some folk out there that hate Journey as much as I do. This song drives me crazy but not as much as the people that love it. As a huge fan of music it seems to me that the folk that love this band the most tend to be the one’s who have no musical integrity and just listen to whatever crap the dj on the pop radio station tells them to. “Oh but it was on Sopranos!” Well that’s just another one of those great shows that completely fell apart after the first few seasons. Another example of liking something just because others have told you to. There’s so much good music out there please don’t limit yourself to those 8 tracks on your greatest hits cd – try to find an artist with something to say rather that just pumping out shiney plastic songs for itune sales.
