Honestly, I was never, um, under him.
I love him in his underwear. I am wetting my pants as we speak.
I think that this ad was aimed at the gay male crowd, Mandi, which is probably why it didn’t catch your fancy. Beckham has that crossover appeal, and gay men are more likely to be buying the products he is endorsing here than straight women, on the whole. Or at least as likely.
That’s my take. Still you have to be amazed that one individual can simultaneously be a world class athlete, a pop cultural phenomenon in a screamingly gay targeted ad campaign, a well respected father and family man, an international human rights campaigner, and a regular guest and confidante of heads of state.
