A woman was stating directly and catatonically into the camera? What was she stating?
I agree about the show being completely scripted. There is no way that Kathy Griffin would have ad-libbed like that during Bette’s show without approval. And Stevie Nicks obviously knew ahead of time that she was going to be called. It was all very funny, but only an idiot would think that any of this was spontaneous and unrehearsed.
I thought it was very sweet what Stevie Nicks said to Kathy about being her favorite “commedienne”. Bette was pretty uptight.. that dicks joke Kathy only used on New Year’s, and it wasn’t planned then, it was an off-camera response to a heckler that happened to make it on air while they cut away to CNN, which is why it was so shocking and hilarious.
Most people I talk to watch and love this show–go Kathy!! But I will say, if you’re so D-list, can you lower the prices of your shows a little bit? They’re a little high.
It was so good. SO GOOD! Even some tiny bits from the HI Express made me giggle.
I thought that crazy woman was Diana Ross when she first entered the frame. I howled like a mad person. Hilarious!
where is episode 2 recap????
Sad!
I agree the Holiday Inn bit was awful to watch…dragged on…ugh. Bette was pretty accomodating to Kathy’s “push people into uncomfortable situations and ride the awkwardness for all it is worth” style. I hope next season can go back to just documenting Kathy’s own regular, crazy life rather than these set up themes.
