I’d like to start off by apologizing, I know the comments section of this blog was a mess last week (hence the quadruple posts). Read the full post.

thank goodness the tech guys fixed the comment box! I have to say I’m very relieved that Jillian sent Dave home, she finally got a small glimpse of his true nature. As for why the guys dislike Juan so much, that hasn’t been made very clear, except that Dave has been spreading a hate campaign about him since day one, and they think he is a little too smooth. I think Jillian is a very sincere person, and was thrilled when they filmed her hometown visit from last season in my hometown (though I didn’t know till after the fact)… anyway, I think Jake and Ed are really great guys, and I hope they are in the final three.
Oh, and thanks Chris, for an excellent blog…. I often wonder what you are thinking behind the scenes
Another awesome blog, thank you! So much is going on this season and we’re only 4 episodes in?! Wow!
Hey Chris – I was going to ask if that was her loft. I guess you know us by now. I forgot to ask….does Jillian pick who goes on the one on one dates and group dates? Thanks for your blog!
When I saw Kipton’s intro footage on the first episode I thought “he’s the perfect match”. I like Jake too but it seems like there’s more natural chemistry with Kip. Also, at first I was just grossed out by Tanner P. but now he’s coming across as a pretty funny guy and the foot fetish probably took on a bigger life due to the editing. I think he was trying to go for laughs and that didn’t come across at the time.
Thanks for blogging, Chris!!!
This episode just reminds me how sleazy this show and producers are of this show. Just when I thought you couldn’t top off last season’s finale you surprised me with this one’s. Obviously this show screens out its contestants before the show starts filming so what do we do? Let’s throw in some drama into the show and add someone who already has a girlfriend back at their hometown. Let’s see how Jillian will react when this news breaks out! Bleep this show!
Hey Chris! I felt sooo bad for Jillian last night! I know if I was in her position, I probably would’ve called off the entire ceremony for the evening to recollect my thoughts. And I’m so glad Dave is gone! He was such a jerk!
Good move on Jillian’s part to not give Dave any explanation. He’d just argue and get more enraged. I don’t think he’ll show any more self-awareness when you bring it up on “Men Tell All,”–he’ll probably just call you a cheese-ass for not knowing anything about cars! But I trust you to edit his rage/profanity/drunkenness/inappropriateness/deluded self-confidence into a really, really good segment!
I don’t get Jake–he thinks Jillian thinks his “perfect” self isn’t real? That attitude is lack of perfection right there. He’s probably the one with the girlfriend.
Love the show, have watched for years. I also wondered why the producers don’t allow the Bachelor/Bachlorette a sneak peek behind the scenes. What better way to discover their true motives.
Jake seems much more committed than Wes. Wes may be attractive and confident and charismatic, but he just seems like a snake to me. Has he really only been with 3 girls? Somehow I think there are far more women who have been in his life.
Jake, on the other hand, does seem like Mr. Perfect. Hopefully, Jillian is able to work past things and find someone who is her friend and potential mate.
Though Tanner was honorable at telling Jillian the news, he then quickly lost my respect when he didn’t give her a name. If you are truly going to meet your best friend and love of your life on the show (which I’m 99% skeptical about anyway), you better be prepared to give a name when you put out an accusation like that. I think Jill was intelligent in keeping Tanner around as he is the most likely to give her a name than the others.
That being said, maybe there are a few guys in the house that are completely oblivious to the fact that one or more people have a girlfriend. However, if they all know, then there is no good pick for Jillian. If someone is going to stick to the “bro-code” with people they don’t know over a potential wife they are no better than those that came in with the intention for celebrity and fame. My guess – I think Wes is on to further his career, but I think one of Jill’s favorites will be the one that Tanner eventually outs.
Love your blog Chris, I look forward to it every tuesday morning! Thanks for all of your insight and info, it makes the show that much more fun.
Dave is beyond inappropriate – and so cocky he can’t even see that. My favorite is that he wants to kiss jillian because everyone else has – Nice and classy. And the foul mouth all the time – really? Because that’s who you want to take home to meet your parents.
I thought Jill seemed more into Kiptyn then he did into her – and I just love Jake – he’s seriously quality. I hope Jill gives him some more chances and that he’s exicting enough for her. And PLEASE send Wes home already Jill.
Oh and totally wondered if that was her house – thanks for clearing that up now
Can’t wait till next week!
I love Tanner P. Trust me, he is a bad boy who would bop anything that moves (or even if it doesn’t move). He reminds me of so many bad boys in my past. Ah, the memories. But alas, I’m still single headed into my senior years.
Thanks for the blog as always. Poor Jake! I really hope she gives him another date since I do feel like he’s a genuine guy & they have an amazing connection. And I was happy to finally see more Mark. I personally like him a lot, but I’m not sure he’s right for Jill. Jake, Ed and Reid are my faves. Still don’t quite trust Kiptyn. Also, I wanted to thank you for not finishing production until after the series started airing. That has really preserved the mystery and kept spoilers under wrap. I say, keep that up!
Wes totally had the “I’m guilty” face going during the rose ceremony. Aren’t the guys screened before being put on the show for possible relationships?
On a positive note…Reid and his ‘bed hair’ when you were telling the guys they were going to Vancouver was too cute!
