I’ve seen more than the first episode – it gets better. Most pilots can just be disregarded, i.e. CASTLE, SEX AND THE CITY – they usually have nothing (or very little) to do with the actual series. Think of them more as a stepping stone than a final destination.

lol! Yep. The character exists on Heroes, and it is the same plot as Medium, and The Pretender. New ideas do not seem to be poping up anywhere.

I actually really enjoyed this show. I really enjoyed the characters, well mostly Toby and Oz because they are hilarious together. And honestly Heroes has been CRAP since the end of Season 1. And pilot’s are usually crappy anyways..give the show a chance you might actually like it!

Hey – the show was more fun than Heroes has been in a long time. Of course that’s not saying much

I haven’t watched Heroes since the 2nd season. I watched both episodes of The Listener and actually enjoyed the show. I hope people and the network will give it a chance. Anyway, the lead character Toby (Craig Olejnik) is easy on the eyes which is more than I can say about Greg Grunberg. I would SO rather watch this show than the mind numbing so-called reality BS they keep trying to force feed everyone. NBC needs to dump “I’m a Has Been, Get Me Outta Here”. Do us all a favor and leave them in the jungle. If those idiots are considered celebrities, consider me supermodel.

Well, I wasn’t expecting much, considering I’ve watched the Heroes plot drag on for YEARS, with no clean ending in sight, so the bar wasn’t raised very high for this new show. Still, I managed to be disappointed.
After the first episode, I turned of the TV because the show did not draw me in AT ALL, but also because it was past my bedtime =P
    Let’s see, here’s the 1st plot in a nutshell:
1.sexy guy talks about his life, cue pretty backdrop of city
2.GASP! We find out sexy guy can hear people’s thoughts!
3.GASP! He eavesdrops on random stranger’s minds, and finds out that most female strangers want to get in his pants!
4.GASP! Instead of using this magical power to get laid, like any NORMAL guy, he gives an old bum some money for coffee.
5.GASP! Some lady’s car crashes, her kid gets kidnapped, he stalks her for a while, goes to her kids playground and…
6.GASP! A dead guy is in the trunk of a random car!
7.Eventually they push the bad guy off a convenient cliff! Happy ending!

This thread is pointless. you guys ‘n gals who posted negative comments better be the ones who write stories for shows such as…Heroes, and Medium.
