The wolf cgi – oh dear.
First Harry Potter, now this, can’t get werewolves right! This looked like a cuddly toy!

It’s all right. I defintely agree about the birthday party being disappointing. I just feel really underwhelmed with everything except for Taylor Lautner. DANG!!

What was fun about Twilight was the fact that even though the acting was stiff and effects were under par it had a b-movie/indie film feel about it. So therefore it got away with everything (except maybe the whole glittering part… that was lame). The New Moon trailer shows that it has more money and its more polished but the acting still looks like it sucks and the cgi didnt get any better. I’ll still probably see it but I won’t be expecting much. It looked lame.

OMG i have been waiting for this forever!!! although it was rushed, no matter what ANYONE says it was amazing!!

I was, needless to say, underwhelmed. One of the biggest plots in the book is that Bella thinks Edward leaves because he doesnt love her and they didnt emphasize that thought enough. The birthday party was terrible. What happened to the action with that? One shove from Edward and that’s all? Boring. I liked how they showed the transformation but the last time i checked, the wolves looked more like bears and were, what, about 6 feet tall? The wolf was much too cuddly and adorable. On the plus side: Lautner was yummy.

I LOVE IT! Remember folks the only just finished filming the movie! What they have so far is amazing. The b-day party is just a small part of a bigger scene! And the wolf transformation is what I was hoping for! totally awesome! What do you people want the Lycans from Underworld or real wolves?? Taylor looks awesome too! This is going to be Taylors year!

I’d rather have the anorexic werewolf from Azkaban than this thing that looks like it just ran out of Delgo.

I agree about the cinematography, Chris gave it the film quality it needed. It already looks better than Twilight. My only complaint is KStew has no emotion. I don’t think any director can get her to open up. This movie will get better. The editors have a long way to go until November. If it was not for New Moon no one would have watched the movie awards.

I was actually pleasantly surprised. The CGI wolf is cuddly but the effect itself sure beats the ‘dazzling’. To me New Moon already looks better than Twilight. The Volturri, considering the great cast, will probably be great as well. I can’t wait!!!!

The big excuse last time was that the CGI was awful because of the lower budget. Now that the budget is much bigger, what’s the new reason? Inquiring minds want to know. The wolf was terrible. You could practically see the pixels. They’d better clean it up by November or critics and non-fans will be laughing in the theater.
Lautner looked great, and Rob seemed to be doing well. I’ve concluded, though, that Stewart can’t act and that’s not Hardwicke’s fault.

    Taylor Lautner. Yum.

  • Marnye

Taylor Who? I only saw Rob. In the trailer and on stage.
