'Toy Story 3': Watch the (short, grainy) trailer!

Longtime EW readers may be most familiar with Toy Story 3 as the hypothetical subject of an endless corporate squabble. But it’s a real movie now, all right, and it’s coming — in 3-D, no less — on June 18, 2010. Last night Entertainment Tonight premiered a trailer for the Pixar film. Not much was revealed, but it’s great to hear Tom Hanks as Woody and Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear again, isn’t it? Check out the clip, which is sadly in fuzzy-looking 2-D only, below, and weigh in: How much are you looking forward to Toy Story 3? And how old does it make you feel to realize that the first Toy Story came out 14 years ago?

The first Toy Story came out 14 years ago?! That feels so wrong.

  • We’re still doing Clapper jokes?

    Come on.

I gotta say, even though I’ve seen both Toy Story 1 & 2 literally over a hundred times (not by choice, but because of my kids), it’s a testament to how well they are made that I can still enjoy them. Looking forward to the third!

Another Toy Story movie? Here’s hoping three times the charm (the first two were great) I was still in my twenties when the first one came out, so thanks for reminding me of my mortality Simon :P

Ugh, what’s with all the 3-D movies.

I saw Up at midnight last night and the whole theatre got excited when this came on. I can’t wait even though it comes out after I graduate college!

if it’s Disney/Pixar (keyword: Pixar), then it’s going to be great. Especially with these characters, who kicked off Pixar’s unparalleled streak of success. This will certainly be on my summer movie list next year.

ok im over all the 3d movies…seriously people not coo, but OMG I CANT WAIT….
    EEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeee!
Now we just need pt 2 for Finding Nemo & Monsters Inc.
And omg we are old…that is crazy.

Toy Story was my sons favorite movie when he was little (he’s 11 now!). In the process of room rearranging and spring cleaning, we actually came across his old Buzz, Woody, and Bullseye toys from way back when. He carried those things around so much, I don’t think we’ll ever get rid of them! I know where this family will be next June 18!

I’ll turn 22 before it comes out and I totally don’t care. I’m going. You know, when I became a teen I tuned out of all cartoon films. Toy Story 2 was probably the last. But last year I couldn’t resist Wall-E and Kung Fu Panda. Since then I laughed my butt off at Bolt and Monsters Vs Aliens and I’m seeing Up tonight. I’m catching up on films like Nemo, Monster Inc, and Incredibles, and its fun! I realized, I simply didn’t like the musicals all that much. I don’t care if its a cartoon anymore. They are great!
    Toy Story 3!!!

Oh my goodness. I was in high school when Toy Story came out. I thought it was awesome! I can’t believe it was that long ago. 9 more Pixar films since then. Wow, who knew we were in for this kind of streak?
