I’m from the Philippines and I’ve watched AI seasons closely esp. David Cook and Kris Allen batches. I do believe that America crowned the deserving winners for the past years. These two guys are really talented and man of character. I appreciate them highly and I know their kind would go a long long way for they not only shine…they also earn the admiration not only of America but the world as a whole. Their talent is not only limited to flamboyance..it is really their pure and bold talent that outshines the rest…congratulations for picking them right!

Kris, I appreciate your nice comments about Adam. One remark though, I am a Christian and I love Adam. Those who call themselves Christian yet speak ill of others isn’t a Christian and I resent the fact they use this glorious title.

Missy, thanks for an awesome interview. Although the print article was good, I preferred this because it went deeper into different issues and it was Kris in his own words. More please!

I hate when people generalize. How on earth would they know that CHRISTIANS aren’t voting for Adam Lambert? Christians are good people. LEGITIMATE Christians are good. Christians don’t discriminate. Only deeply misguided PEOPLE discriminate.

I knew Adam was gay from the first time I saw him on Idol. I voted for Adam a couple times (I loved Mad World and I downloaded the song and video on iTunes),but got tired of his screeching high note that he kept doing in most songs, and I voted betweeen Kris and Danny after that. I do believe the Bible’s statement of homosexuality is a sin, we all sin in many ways, you can’t pick and choose what parts of the Bible you approve of, but I appreciate Adam’s musical talent and I care for him, just not his lifestyle. I also wondered how the media could tell who was calling in votes on American Idol as to whether they were Christian or some other religion or aetheist, thought that was a stupid media viewpoint, since there was absolutely no way to find that out via a telephone vote! Don’t believe everything the media says.

I just found this. Thanks for posting it.
We have things that we say without thinking – the “retarded” remark, for example. I had to break myself of that habit, also (and I now have a nephew with Down Syndrome).
Kris has indeed set a fine example of what a Christian should act like. Christians who separate themselves from those who are different are not following Jesus’ example.
And all Christians pick and choose from the scriptures, whether we admit it or not. No one goes around stoning their children if they disobey, for example. We all should be picking the ones that talk about love and not the ones that allow us to point out the so-called sins of others.
And anyone who refers to homosexuality as a “lifestyle” has a lot to learn about homosexuality.
