The song above “Merrimack river” sung by Mandy Moore is quite lovely. I was pleasantly surprised since I also saw her on Ellen singing kind of a blah song. She should have performed this pretty one instead.
1. British TV in the US — BBC America seems to be getting away from the bad reality and giving us more scripted goodies like Mistresses, Skins and, soon, Being Human. Plus, more Brit fare to be found on PBS and elsewhere like MI-5 and Lost in Austen. Great stuff to take us through the summer.
2. So You Think You Can Dance – Nigel’s ridiculous comments aside, it is still thrilling to watch the dancers leave it all on the stage.
3. New Robin Hood movie — from the looks of some photos taken of a scene being shot of the Sheriff’s men on the rampage and others of the massive sets being built in the woods, this movie that I thought I would undoubtedly pass on has become one I will absolutely not pass up.
The new music video for Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ “Heads Will Roll.” The video features the band playing a show to a full house when a Michael Jackson-esque dancing werewolf type monster goes crazy and decides to rip up the audience and the band. In a word: AWESOME.
I got the album and Mandy does some great stuff. I’m glad to see her getting some much deserved credit for her work. She started off so long ago and has really matured into a respectable artist with a great voice. Kudos to her for doing things a little different and making such a good album!
Can we please somehow give a shout out to the young actress (Madison De La Garza) who played Juanita Solis on Desperate Housewives this year? She literally walked away with every single scene they gave her on the show and more than proved a match for Eva Longoria Parker in both the comedic timing and sass departments.
I really dug the Beastie Boys performance of “So What’Cha Want” with The Roots on Late Night. It’s nice to hear them with an amazing live band.
The new Yeah Yeah Yeahs video features a werewolf Michael Jackson impersonator and more crazy Karen O outfits. What’s not to like?
The return of “Pushing Daisies” is much welcomed.Looking forward to having the season on dvd soon.
I have two things on my Must List this week, both music and polar opposites:
1) Anything by “American Idol” winner Kris Allen pre-Idol. Download “Beautiful Moon,” “Wipe It Away” or “Lovely” and you’ll see why he won
2) Eminem’s “Relapse” CD. Every track on the CD is worth listening to, even if you think you don’t like the crude lyrics.
here’s a nice fan video for a song of this new albem “love to love m back”

Absolutely, everything Jonas Brothers.
I’m no tweener. They will go the way of Mandy Moore if they are lucky. Fade from the tween scene and have the ability to show the world the considerable depth of their musical abilities and ideas. Such fun performers to watch…I’m an indie person, but they really opened my heart up to Pop. Wish people could get over all the superficial easy-target stuff about them and get down with their music.
