Sorry if this was already mentioned but from wikipedia: “Taweret was seen as one who protected against evil by restraining it” I think this could easily be seen as a recurring lost theme…

Damon Lindelof has announced recently in an interview that we aren’t going to get Libby’s backstory.
Apparently the actress hasn’t made herself available for the show so they would rather not tell the story through the words of others. I suppose that’s the risk you take when actors leave.

There’s no way that the statue is Taweret. In every part-human representation of her I’ve seen, Taweret is a female with sagging dugs and belly and very short legs. The statue is positively hunky!

I had the strangest dream 2 days ago, it was about a webisode show called “richard alpert: the beggining” or something like that. And it depicted the origins of Richard and why he uses eye liner,kiddin´. Well it was about his origins and the series also explained the “anti- baby policy” and it had something to do with alpert and him being immortal, there was of course some amount of soft porn as the origin of that policy was that the romantic interest of alpert´s was some kind of egyptian sorcerer who was fooled to embrace immortality just to be with him, hence losing the ability to have babies.
Just for the record, I DIDN´T SMOKE ANYTHING!

(continued) now know that Miles was a DI kid. Maybe there was something in the Egyptian history lessons (‘77 Jack erased for Roger)? I’m hoping we find out that Annie had left the island before the purge, it would be great if she came back to try to save Ben’s soul or something (remember he kept her birthday doll), or was somehow connected to Ilana’s crew. If they’re not DI kids, they could be people whose lives were saved by Jacob who had not previously been to the island. Remember when Miles didn’t know the answer Bram didn’t hurt him, just said “he’s not ready *yet*”, so Miles likely will have a significant role next season. Bram’s against Widmore and states he’s on the side “that’s gonna win”, and Widmore had wanted John on the island. Either for good (to keep Ellie from killing Daniel), or for bad (if somehow knowing MIBs plan and thus simultaneously killing Jacob and damning Ben). I wanna know if Jacob loved Ben ever, at least kid Ben, and also Richard’s backstory and motives.
