I’ve just been watching your early idolatry (great, and yes i’m jobless!)i found it so amusing as pointed out by Rose that you were obviously not a fan of Adam but rather a huge fan of Kris from the beginning..and yet you had to dye your hair coz Adam lost! But seriously watching early idolatry is so intereting now in retrospect, how you guys too have changed your own perspective (not only was Matt not your favorite, you hated him!)

Too bad Lambert’s Rolling Stone interview didn’t come out before Slezack interviewed him. Lambert says, “Danny had a very strong following and when Danny was out of the competition I had a feeling that his fans were probably quicker to default to Kris than to me, you know just because of the kind of artist that he is. So I think that also might have had something to do with it.” Unless he knows something we don’t, how can he assume Kris wasn’t the million vote leader before Danny’s fans jumped ship (if they even did)? Kris Allen has supported Lambert with absolutely no qualifiers. What a shame he can’t do the same. If it’s not homophobia, then it’s red state/blue state or AT&T’s fault. This A.I. thing is no fun, anymore.

Well, it’s officially not May 27 anymore (at least not in my neck of the woods and all points east!) and I’m really annoyed. Hopefully, you had some technical problems that prevented you from getting Adam’s interview out on time??? Hmmm? *foot tapping, eyebrow raised*

Great season you guys. You all should do this type of show focusing on this season of Big Brother since that Housecalls mess has been cancelled.

My one change for Idol next year…allow Slezak, Kristen and the Idolatry team to create/conduct the contestant interview packages and going home montages on the show. It would be so much better. Love you guys and Idolatry!

I think it’s time for Idol to change things for the contestants. One is to listen to the performances, let America vote and then on the vote off night…give the comments about their performances from the night before. We all know that the judges especially Simon, sway the American vote. If this really is a reality tv show, then they need to face reality and let America vote for who they want without any coersion from the judges. Kara needs to go. That was a big mistake bringing in another judge. 3 judges were fine. Now the extra judge just takes up more airtime with their comments. And my final comment…I think it’s a shame that Adam Lambert didn’t win. He is gracious enough to be happy to be second. He was phenomenal all season. He deserved the title. Kris has a karaoke voice..nothing to right home about. But I guess it’s all about money and ratings for the show. One I won’t be watching anymore in the future.

Five years from now Allison will be a MegaStar and the others will be forgotten ! She so outsung Blondie! And Kara will be Kara Who?

Slezak, I have to agree that it would be awesome to see Anoop and Alexis finish that duet on the tour. Anoop and Alexis sounded AMAZING singing those first lines of “I’m Yours”. Their voices complemented each other wonderfully. When Jason Mraz came out, I was so disappointed. I love Jason Mraz, but I can see him sing any time. I agree that this show should be about showcasing the contestants. Alexis so deserved to be on the tour. :( And I was terribly disappointed that Anoop and Matt got less time in the finale that Lil Rounds. Made no sense at all.

Rita, I think it is most likely that both Matt and Anoop were both in the original 12 (there is NO way Anop was not going to make it, as he seems to have a huge following and only missed top 12 by 20k votes), and they added Jasmine and Megan over Ricky Braddy to balance the female count and satisfy their call for “package artist”.

First a disclaimer: I LOVE Adam Lambert! He is amazing and charismatic and very talented and totally HOT. He is definitely my fav Idol of all time.
However, the statement that Adam never suffered from pitch problems until “No Boundaries” is not true. He was pitchy during several live performances, most notably “Black or White,” which he himself admitted was not his best performance for that reason (TV Guide online).
I agree that the finale needs to be revamped. No more being forced to sing the “inspirational” songwriter’s song. I felt a little relieved for Adam that he doesn’t have to put it on his album.
