I don’t usually go in for fan-made trailers for films that’ll likely never get made, created using footage from their favorite totally-non-related movies…but this spot for a Green Lantern movie starring Nathan Fillion hits me in two sweet spots:
Sweet Spot #1: Nathan Fillion. My man-crush on Captain Tightpants is well-documented. I’ll watch anything the man is in. Mandi Bierly and I have weekly thumb-wrestling tourneys to decide who gets to wear the EW’s Biggest Filli-fan Ceremonial Hawaiian Shirt.
Sweet Spot #2: Michael Giacchino’s Star Trek score. Nothing I’ve heard in a good long while summons the same feeling of heroic grandeur/call of destiny.
I still stand by my "Brian Austin Green would be pretty rad as Hal Gordon" stance. But only if Nathan passes. Because I’m a loyal Browncoat, and that’s how we roll. Geek tirade over.
Any fan-created trailers float your boat? Anyone else you’d rather see as Hal Jordan? Anyone else you dig as much as I dig Nathan Fillion?

Sorry but 2/3rd of the trailer uses “Two Steps From Hell – Freedom Fighters” music and NOT Michael Giacchino’s Star Trek score. The same music WAS used in Star Trek Trailer #3.
I will DEFINITELY watch a Green Lantern movie with Nathan Fillion starring. I will watch any movie he heads up, especially a well-deserved hero pic. Even my husband says that he would make a perfect action star.
I’m sure I’m the biggest Nathan Fillion fan around. Bar none! I will also watch anything he’s in, anytime! Bring on Green Lantern!!

Nathan Fillion SHOULD be a big box office star. I’m for anything that gives him the chance, even though I’m not a fan of superhero movies in general. If there is anyone that could make me care about a cheesy superhero movie, it’s Fillion.

If there is a divine being who is watching over humanity with the best intentions, then Nathan Fillion will be Hal Jordan. Unfortunately, movie executives continue to make really horrible movies from beloved comics and degrade our favorite characters so we are screwed.

Nathan Fillion as a superhero makes a lot of sense. He’s good at playing the common man in larger than life scenarios.
Fillion’s natural aptitude for both humor and drama is a well balanced mixture just right for a comic book superhero.
As well, he has a growing following that would be eager to encourage others to jump on the bandwagon.
And Fillion is good with those fans, he’s well versed in being amiable and energetic about his projects. Because he IS amiable and energetic about the work he does.
Anyone who agrees that Nathan Fillion should be the Green Lantern should send this video to their friends!!! Let’s get the word out!

This fake trailer is crap. The creator just stole music and visuals from other movies. That’s stealing, not creativity.
Nathan Fillion would be totally wrong for this part. Don’t get me wrong, I like him as an actor, but not for this part. Personally, I like Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper for the role of Green Lantern.
What film was that score from its really good. Really good fan video. Nathan would be a solid pick, I like Patrick Wilson from Watchmen and Lakeview Terrace.
