In retrospect it seems ironic (or, perhaps, just plain wrong) that the man who provoked Christian Bale’s infamous wig-out on the set of Terminator Salvation Read the full post.

'Terminator Salvation': No wonder Christian Bale was angry

I actually completely disagree with you LisaMama. I think that the first two Terminator movies were very much character driven. That is what made those movies so good, with the combination of great story lines and awesome action and special effects. I think directors today are so focused on the special effects and action sequences that they completely forget about having us care about the characters or the story line. By the end of Terminator 2, I almost cried with Arnold was going down into the hot metal. That is great filmmaking. I have not seen this one yet, but from what I have heard it is not looking good.
Remember the titans? No? Then do you actually remember the first terminator? I dont remember either. All I know is that it was great for the times (I think I was 7) and had a decent plot and a wife-beater playing lead. Im tired of everyone going backwards to make movies. Especially when they do it 20 years later, then try to recap the entire saga and introduce new players with no “much- needed” introduction. If you feel me wave your hands up, then move to the seats behind me. Wolverine was waaaaaay better. And did the same thing this movie attempted to do. Suck on that Terminator! And stop talking about WIll and Jada’s kids. You guys sound like stalkers. Not kidding, on that last sentence…

I’ve seen all the Terminators. I thought this one was great! The script could’ve been better but the actors were phenomenal and it did have originality. Good job McG. Loved Christian Bale as always. He’s amazing. Sam Worthington was great – looking forward to seeing him in more movies. Saw Star Trek first and it was funny to see Chekov as Kyle.
“Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” was much better. All I remember about “Salvation” is guns, explosions, and steel. Not that I mind those things, but… Sometimes it’s the little things—like quiet moments of meaningful dialogue—that stick in your head when the rollercoaster ride is over.
Worse than a PDA over-riding Skynet, the silly Signal plot that was obvious from the gitgo, or the cliched Heartless Resistance Leader Guys was the fact that these bots have Kyle Reese, who is #1 on their People To Kill List because he’s gonna spawn their enemy John Connor, in their Heh Heh Clutches MORE THAN ONCE and spare him over and over again.
Jim Terr,
Learn how to spell cooperation without a hyphen if you plan on upholding the English language.
Clark Collis, a reputable and experienced movie critic, presumably holds a degree in journalism or at least English. He’s the latest perpetrator of pronoun misuse.
“…To be fair, my colleague Owen Gleiberman liked the movie more than me…” You mean, he liked the film ‘more than I did.’ Unless of course you actually meant he liked the movie more than he likes Clark Collis.
I am going to bust everyone, eventually

ok, i liked the story. alot. it also sets up the next film beautifully.
did people not believe McG when he said it would be grittier? and now people are complaining about it. so annoying
another movie that the critics hated and that I loved. damn them.
WTF: another critic who hates movies. Give me a break, this was a fantastic movie. And posters, enough with the “this or that isn’t believable crap” R u people serious? This is supposed to be a fun action flick. It’s not a documentary folks – get a life & some appreciation for the thousands of people it takes to make a movie of this caliber. One last thing don’t mock or criticize anything unless u can do better yourselves! (that’s for everyone: paid critics & armchair critics.
It was really bad, but what made it even worse was that me and some friends went from seeing Star Trek to seeing T.S.. We went from seeing what a summer blockbuster should be all about, to seeing a movie that takes itself way too serious and never delivers on anything, except overacting.
I like it, even if character development took a backseat. True, only Sam’s character was fleshed out (pun!) and even more so than John Connor, but I was never bored.
Teresa: how about, *you* don’t tell me what movies to like and not like, since i am paying to see them. stupid facist dumbed down bimbo. (look it up in a “dictionary”, as you doubtful know what facism is.) i would bet money you watch american idol.
