Has the economy affected how many times you’ll pay to see a movie in theaters? What’s the last film you paid to see twice? I recently contemplated a second screening of Star Trek (because I’m already going through post-finale TV withdrawal), but I denied myself the pleasure because I’d missed the IMAX show time. In my mind, that was the only way I could rationalize seeing it twice — if it was a different experience, a view-that-Spock-and-Uhura-elevator-scene-on-a-giant-effin-screen experience.
Your turn.

I rarely see a movie twice or more regardless of the state of the economy. If I liked a movie enough I just waited for the DVD. The last movie I saw more than once was 2007’s Hairspray and before that was in 2005 with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory however I’m about to see Star Trek again.
I haven’t paid to see the same movie twice as an adult. There are only two movies I have ever seen two times in the theater: Wayne’s World, and Apollo 13.
TREK, I’m a fan of the original story line so it took me about 3/4 of this movie to let that go. I’m going back to see if I missed anything.
Last movie I saw twice…the INDIANA JONES AND THE FINAL CRUSADE.
I paid to see Star Trek twice, once with family, and once with a work friend. Before that? Probably thee Phantom Menace (for the costumes!) and Bull Durham, but some of those viewings were at the $1 movie theatre.
Twilight
Last movie I saw in theaters twice was The Dark Knight. Before that, it was Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest.
If there is any movie this summer that gets me to come back to the theater for a second time around, it will probably be Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Dark Knight and the first matrix
Pirates 2: stagnettis revenge
Seen Star Trek twice, going a third time next week.
Children of Men.
Most underrated movie of the past decade.
Star Trek most recently, before that it was Iron Man.
Star Trek. Before that Star Wars episode 3.
I happily paid a second time to see “Gomorrah,” one of the best movies of the past 10 years. I shelled out 4 times for “High School Musical 3″ last year – don’t even ask – and saw “Wall-E, “Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist” and “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” twice while I caught “Rachel Getting Married” three times.
Star Trek – twice. both in IMAX… its the only way to fully experience it!
Before that I did see Wall-E twice. I have a soft spot for Pixar.
I think the last movie I saw twice in the theaters was LOTR: The Return of the King, I usually wait until video to see it again.
