I hate to mention this or bring it up but this being a reality show… Does anyone think that the whole votes thing is BS? Every other reality show on TV is bogus so why wouldn’t American Idol be fake too. Whomever the judges like, they give them good reviews and the “people” vote them through supposedly. I just thought it funny that this year, every person that talked back to the judges was gone the very next week. People seem to love that when they do and then, see ya, they’re out. Hmmm… it wouldn’t be difficult for Seacrest to get up there, read some stuff, and completely lie to the world saying so and so won. Kris winning has made Idol the most talked about thing in the world in the last week or so. So is it really that far of a reach thinking that it’s all been rigged to the point that Kris winning would make the show more known. I dont think so. Adam will have an amazing career either way so he didn’t need this win as much as Kris did. oh well and i hope im wrong.

i voted for 7 hours, non-stop, because i was on the west coast with my east coast cell phone… and so i can rightfully complain to the bitter end that my fantabulous glitter rock god, Adam Lambert, did not win. am disappointed, but taking heart that his EW interview is up, and his sparkly personality is shining through all the paparazzi craziness. LOVE YOU, ADAM!

A bit late to comment on this (just got around to reading the whole thing), but I just have one point: you’d think a representative from EW would be able to get better seats at the Nokia Theatre. Just saying.

Mariyas: Agreed completely except perhaps about Adam “getting sympathy,” though I think I know what you meant. People know he deserved to win, so in that sense they want success for him even more now, and will be ready to embrace him even more forcefully (if that’s possible) than before. He is a talent that only comes around once every 30-50 years. Kris is good. Kris is kind. Kris has a nice voice and is talented. But no one compares to Adam… not on this or any other AI season. He is BIGGER than AI. He is a Phenomenon.
