The teaser one-sheet for The Twilight Saga: New Moon, in theaters Nov. 20, has been released confirming what we long suspected — both Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Jacob (Taylor Lautner) are hotter with shorter hair. At first glance, I thought this poster belonged to Lautner: The clenched fist and jaw, the bicep, the eye. (And again, the hair.) But then I looked closer at Pattinson, smiled that I actually get paid for this, and noted the purposeful peek of manly chest hair. Suddenly, I remembered that New Moon is a battle between a boy and a man — not just a wolf and a vampire — for Bella’s affections. (You’ll need to find an enlarged image to fully appreciate what I’m extracting from the photo. Of chest hair. Wait, this is what I get paid for?)
My other thoughts: That expressive look on Kristen Stewart’s face allows me to hope that the acting in the sequel will be much improved. The coloring of the background reminds me of fan-made New Moon posters. (Coincidence?) I’m liking that this film already feels darker and more atmospheric than the first.

Sexy, very sexy…I like it a lot. I do agree though, it does look a lot like the fan made posters I’ve seen. If I didn’t know better, I wouldn’t think it was real.
All of the Ed/Bells shippers are up in arms about it but they are forgetting one thing…Jacob has a larger role in this movie than Edward. I personally love the poster and think it is exponentially better than Twilight’s. The photoshop is much improved. And I also like how Edward has a large role in the poster even though he is not really in the movie much.
Mandi – if you ever need a sub, I’m your girl.
Are you paid by Summit to pimp up Failcob. Get real.
He’s airbrushed within an inch of his life and what is it with the arm. Its so short. But of course Failcob is short. He must be standing on a box.
What Summit are forgetting is that is unlikely posters with Lautner on it will sell as well. None of my fellow twilighters will be getting anything with Lautner’s face on it.
Its badly photoshoped. Pattinson looks cool though.
Seems an odd strategy to wind up the Edward Bella shippers when they are the vast majority of the audience. I’m expecting Summit to not make as much financially this time round and the same goes with merchandise.
Bella looks like Kristen Stewart, not like Bella is supposed to look. And New Moon is not a movie about a love-triangle – that is Eclipse. This movie supposed to be about Bella’s when Edward splits and Jacob helping her out. This poster is for the wrong movie, not that it should be for Eclipse either. But I do agree that the atmosphere is correct.
Well, the poster doesn’t do Rob justice.
Kristen, on the other hand, looks really pretty.
Taylor looks nice, too.
I dont agree he looks so good he looks so ama–zing.
Lautner’s face looks distorted with so much photoshop work.
Kristen Stewart looks vacant in the poster but then her performance in the first film was too.
maybe they should have made a few posters???
one for the jacob/bella shippers.
one for the edward/bella shippers.
and for the people who just love ‘em both??
Mandi,
And if you are unavailable, Elizabeth, I will gladly step in for both of you
As always, I love your Twilight, New Moon, Pattinson coverage. Thank you as it always makes me smile and chuckle.

“Mandi – if you ever need a sub, I’m your girl.”
LMAO
I like it a lot. Jacob is thrusting himself between Edward and Bella despite her wishes just like he does in the book. Very nice.
I don’t mind Jacob being in the poster, but I agree that Edward has the wrong look on his face for this movie. He’s looking back on the two of them as if he’s pissed. This poster belongs in Eclipse.
you soooos osoosos sexii
And did I mention how tall they’ve made Taylor Lautner look? There is no way he’s that much taller than Kristen Stewart in real life.
“That expressive look on Kristen Stewart’s face allows me to hope that the acting in the sequel will be much improved”
..shows exactly why this movie is all about – and only to – the fangirls.
I already made my critique of this poster on another site but I’ll say it again. I’m VERY disappointed. This poster looks cheap and fake, the photoshop is painfully obvious and the message it conveys does not do the book justice. This message shows the rivalry between Edward and Jacob which is not what New Moon is about at all. New Moon is about Bella, being alone, depressed and trying to find Edward. They should have shown that with Bella alone in the forest, not showing the love triangle which only really goes into effect in Eclipse. This poster is perfect for Eclipse down to eclipse in the background (look at the sun or moon behind the trees, its an eclipse) I don’t know what they were thinking, making this look like a bitter dispute, the only scene all three characters are in together is the final one. Bad choice Summit, try to convey what the book is really about and stop trying to pick a fight between Edward and Jacob fans.
Ok, as an avid Twilight fan, I am very disappointed in some of the Twilight fans comments. Quit whining!!! This is an amazing poster. Edward, Jacob and Bella look hot. It is obvious that the studio had to try to make everyone happy, so that put all of them on the poster. I think that the theme does represent New Moon, THE MOVIE. Jacob coming between Edward and Bella and her using him for support, but Edward still being there in her mind. Overall, I think they did a great job.
It shows all 3 leads so all the fans should be happy, but realy true to the storyline,of new moon,But I am sure there will be more, later
It’s not better than Twilight. Too much photoshop IMO. And i think they skipped one book because idk what they are trying to represent in here.
Four years from now you’re gonna come across this poster crinkled up in the back of the closet. You’re gonna howl with laughter, then cringe, then swear to anyone who sees it that it was in the apartment when you moved, you swear.
I Disagree.. I love it. Yes in eclips jacob and edward are fighting for bella. But i don’t think this poster shows that. Jacob falls in love with her and is there for her, protecting her. He is in this poster. Edward is is gone but yet still on her mind therefore he is in the front but not closest to her.
To Heather: If they wanted to convey New Moon why is there an eclipse in the background????
Edward looks good,Bella has too much make up on Jacob looks cool, but must be stood on a box to give him height Overall a meaniful picture ,but the meaning has nothing to do with the plot.
It’s not a competition at all. It’s pretty blatantly obvious that Bella was always going to be with Edward. The whole Twilight series is about Bella, the Bella/Edward love and all the obstacles they overcome to be together (one of the obstacles include an annoying little boy who can’t take a hint). Jacob’s the awkward third wheel who tries to squeeze his way in, but get kicked to the curb in the end and ends up pining over a baby anyway. This poster’s representation of the story isn’t accurate. But then again I’m not surprised. I’m sure summit’s just flaunting the guys in the movie to reap money from fangirls. I’m disappointed that this belittles Bella’s character to the point where she’s placed in the back of the poster instead of the front where she should be. As much as I love Edward/Rob even I think it’s not very appropriate to put him in the front and isolate him from Bella. Like Stephenie Meyer said they are one being, one entity, and therefore should be shown as such.
I actually really like it. I think it portrays the feelings of both sides very well. Edward’s sadness, Bella’s need for Jacob (She is holding onto him) and the dirty look Jake is giving Edward lol. I dont get the background setting, but i like it. They did a good job, but i always say that fans do better with artwork because its created out of love rather than for money! I love Jake’s hair (LKike Taylor’s) the wig looked fake and im glad they did a picture without the damn wig! Edward’s position indicates he is hesitant about leaving Bella, but Jacob’s stance is protective and sheilding. Bella’s is just desperate lol. Very good id say! Team Jasper!
This poster is horrible. Needs less Jacob, and Bella looks like she’s about to strip. WTF. Robert/Edward is the only reason this hideous poster is somewhat tolerable. Show me an Edward/Bella poster, what New Moon is actually about, and maybe I’ll buy it. This one, though, no way.
And Twilight fans wonder why people hate us so much and see us as a bunch of whiney teenage fangirls. You guys are never happy with anything. We could pick apart this, whether it is more like Eclipse or New Moon, but since I have read the book multiple times, in my small insignificant opinion, I think the poster could represent both. Just me though. Sorry for angering everybody.
