YAY!!! Kris won, woo hoo. I think Adam almost crapped his pants when they didn’t call his name. Kris was shocked out of his mind..but he really did deserve it. He’s way too modest. He is a quite talent. I have never seen anyone improve as much as he did. Every single episode he outdid himself. He has an unique voice and talent that took way too long to be noticed. We have our next pop star! haha. As for Adam, he has a flawless voice. I have never heard anyone hit the notes he has without a single struggle. His shortcoming was that he has qualities of a 80′s rock star. Not as many people can relate to his music. But he is talented as all heck. He twisted every song to make it his own awesome version. I’m afraid he’s going to dissapear. Someone better market him because he is an AMAZING singer. They don’t come around much these days!!Best season EVER! It may be impossible for any other season to even come close to the talent this season. I hope I’m wrong.
It is obvious that Lambert is way more talented than kris. Adam is in another league entirely. It is just to bad that women in America are that shallow that they just vote on looks alone…very sad. But, alas, record sales will show who the true champ is. 18 months from now we’ll all be saying, “Kris who?”
For the 2nd time in 3 years a “Taylor Hicks” quality singer has won American idol over a clearly more talented performer. The show is promoted as a singing competion, but it is nothig more than a popularity contest. I’ll never watch another American Idol show. The teeny boopers can continue to vote for whoever turns them on.
SOOOOO TRUE Bill. It is obvious that the teeny boppers voted him in. It makes me sick…but we all know that Adam will be around for a while. Kris will be a distant memory in less than 2 years
See that’s the problem with people, you don’t see outside of the box. Yes Adam was by far the best singer, but Kris has something about him that makes him special. Not only can he sing, he can play the guitar and piano. Kris could sing any song and not even change it up much ,but it still would be his own because his voice is unique and refreshing. He may even eventually write his own music and not just be a puppet. If Kris finds a good agent in the future he IS going somewhere. Yes he’s extremely cute but that’s a sorry excuse not to like him. BTW, I’m 28 so the teeny bop excuse won’t work here. I love Adam and he obviously kicks butt but he’s a little too theatrical and a bit 80′s hard core rock starish. I do hope to see him again!! Remember step out of the box! Also, I’m guessing most of you responding don’t like pop music?!…
Well, I am not a teeny bopper and I am very happy that Kris won. He came a long way in the weeks of the show; grew into a very strong, confident performer.. Kris has a wonderful voice, many talents and will go far, Adam is also very talented in his own way. I, for one, had a hard time understanding him many times when a screamed out a song. When I hear a song, I like to hear the lyrics and too many time Adam made that impossible. I read many nasty comments about both Kris & Adam; very rude people. I believe both these young men will go far with their music and talents. What I felt about this group–the 12 finalist–that they did feel as if they had became a family among themselves. And stupid idiots making nasty remarks just because one got 2nd place & not 1st??? American Idol 2009 was a good season and I look forward to next season. There is one thing I do have to agree with.. THAT SONG!!! Neither one should have been made to sing that Boundries; it’s a lousy song and it hurt both guy
I think Ellen is a great addition to the show now maybe they can get rid of Kara. If Simon leaves the show and she is still on. My family will be forced to find a new venue for tuesday & wednesday nights. I can’t stand kara’s snobbish attitudes as it is, but she is offset by Simon’s charm.
WTF why are the judges so down on didi and omg they liked micheal, have they lost there noodles, Didi is by far one of the top female singers, she always sounds great and they keep putting her down.
Seriously? I am SO sick of the judges saying every year “I know I’ve said this before, but his year we have some of the best vocals ever.” However, this year I agree! They are all completely awesome and Crystal deserves to win!! So appears incredibley comfortable on stage and her voice is above and beyond unbelieveable!
At the end of the show when they do the recap of the night…do they use film from dress rehearsal or something?
I have DVR and noticed that the finish of Lee’s song was different in his “live performance” compared to what they showed on the recap. You can hear it but can also tell in the way his body positioning finishes the song…in addition to the way the backup singers have their hands positioned as the song finishes.
Can someone confirm this?
