'Chuck' saved -- now on to the budget

Well, Chuck has quit the Buy More, so there shouldn’t be many scenes there. No Big Mike or Emmett (and it would be fine if Emmett was gone entirely) and Jeff and Lester are best in small doses, anyway. The only three characters essential to each episode, IMO, are Chuck, Sarah and Casey, with Morgan, Ellie and Awesome recurring. I hate to say it, but Anna hasn’t had much to do for a long time, other than to provide Morgan with a source of angst.
I resent that NBC is forcing the show to cut costs, because I would have loved for Steve Bartowski to stick around. I’m fine without “high-profile” baddies, though, and fewer high-cost action sequences.
Kick those jeff/lester idiots.. they do nothing at all to advance the plot. Keep morgan tho.. the parallels to chuck are quite good. For the love of god remove jeff/lester. They are so f00king annoying
The Buy More Staff are all pretty essential for story telling purposes. Chuck isn’t just a Spy Show, it’s a comedy. And the Large majority of the comedy comes from the fact that the world of spies and the world of the Buy More happen to mimic each other so strangely.
Just as Morgan is a perfect foil of Chuck, Anna is a foil of Sarah. She’s smart, sexy and kick ass, and for some reason he’s into this wierd nerdy guy. Without her there would be no more of the always comic comiserating between Morgan and Chuck on the difficulties of relationships.
Jeff and Lester are a classic comic pairing, and Big Mike and Emmett were/are great as allies in foiling the plans of the employees, and now as warring peoples of Buy-Moria. All of which sets up an even richer setting for further mirroring episodes.
Ellie and Awesome are keepers too. though I don’t know what more you can give them to do. The fact that Awesome Knows Chuck is awesome can be intriguing…
You just can’t cut anyone.
DUDE JEFFSTER is awesome why kick them off?? Man… maybe if more people watch this season NBC will increase the budget for chuck.They might even bring back Tang. I mean he is in Hawaii and who else on the show is going to Hawaii to become a Benihana chef
I am extremelly happy that Chuck is coming back for a 3rd session! I like all the characters and the soft or fighting scenes. So… I love to see the famous guest stars, but if the budget needs to be cut, instead of the famous guest stars, use really good unknown actors.
I personally like Scott ..there is a major story line there with his character telling Bryce to stay away from Chuck…he knew he was going to trick him into taking the intersect again!! He warned Chuck to stay away, he wasn’t a spy. Besides does everyone on the show have to be young?
Thank you baby Jesus! The only sad thing is that a save our show campaign had to be waged here. This is one of the most purely entertaining fun shows on TV. In a market where we are constantly bombared with Cop Show, Lawyer Show, Doctor show, reality show ad nauseum it is nice to have an alternative like Chuck. I just hope they stick around.
