I wanted Tara to win :(

  • Dave Lasik

I did not want Helen to win. She put her needs before her daughter and that was shameful. Her daughter is still severely overweight. Selfish Helen! Kudos to Ron that put his son first at all time and still managed to lose a tremendous amount of weight.

  • Valorie

I wanted Mike to win :(

  • melissa

helen looked way too thin to me….ew

  • Chris

what an unexpected ending. goooo underdog! congrats to everyone who did so well. such an inspiration

  • Mary

Me too! Tara’s the real winner in my book. She kicked butt all season!

  • Holly

I was really pulling for Tara. I’m sad she lost, especially to Helen. Despite that, the final three all looked amazing, as did many of the other contestants. The person I liked may not have won the big prize, but they all won in their own ways, and that’s what counts.

  • sarah

Helen looked awful. She needs to gain 5-10 pounds.

  • Jenie

I wanted Tara to win. Most of the contestants didn’t do very well … just the final 3, Jerry, and Nicole.

  • Kiki

It was sad watching Helen jumping around, yelling, “I did it!” and looking all anorexic, while her poor daughter stood by watching, still morbidly obese. Helen definitely proved herself to be the biggest loser. Sad.

  • T

Aw, I wanted Tara, too! I thought Helen was okay, but it never sat well with me that she let her daughter go home. I would definitely have made sure that my daughter stayed and got as much out of the experience as possible. It just seemed so selfish to me. But kudos to all who lost weight – I love the finale because we get to see all the progress the contestants made!

  • Farrah

Regarding a comment that someone else made here on this blog; “that Helen looked too thin.” She most certainly did not! She worked hard – harder than anyone else and she won. I favored Tara because she won so many challenges and never fell below the yellow line. But guess what? I’m happy for ALL of the people on that show because as the trainers pointed out – they’ve all “won.” The point was to lose weight.

  • fat albert

I could care less who won! I predict within 1 year they will all be obese once again!!!!

  • Angel

Helen is way too thin now….I thought Tara or Mike should have won–they are at healthier weights in my opinion.

  • Swerds

I was really rooting for Tara. I saw bits of myself in her. I am totally amazed by not only Helen’s transformation but Jerry’s as well!
Was anyone else disgusted by the lack of change in David? It made me feel even worse for Daniel. He really got the short end of the stick in his partner.

  • David

I am so happy Helen won. I wanted either her or Tara to take it. Remember, Shannon wanted Helen to stay… They both talked of leaving for one another– and while yes, a mother should do what’s best for her daughter– in some instances, it’s better for a daughter to do what is best for their mother. I know if put in that same situation, I would have opted out for my Mom. Obesity + old age is FAR worse for health than obesity at a young age… With that said, obviously obesity is never good. I think Shannon thought she would fare better at home than her Mother would have. Unfortunately, Shannon may not have realized how hard it was. Still, Congratulations Helen– YOU DESERVED IT!

  • Farrah

I further don’t agree that Helen “should” have given this up for her daughter. Her daughter CHOSE to go for her mother – and equally admirable position. People are so judgmental on these blogs.

  • Corey

i thought helen looked linda underweight. i mean jillian is 5 2and a half and weighs 120. shes 5′6” and 117

  • Ryan

Helen looked sickly. I think she went crazy to win the money, but I wonder if she will maintain her weight after tonight. I really wish Tara or Mike had won. What a let down.

  • Amanda

I was rooting for Tara, just because she was so great all season. I didn’t see the whold episode, but was glad that most had lost a good amount of weight and looked healthier. I also thought that Helen might have taken it a bit too far. Granted, I don’t weigh under 120 pounds, but I just thought she looked a bit sickly. That was a significant amount of weight to lose in a short time. How much time transpired between the final weigh in and tonight?

  • of course

Of course Helen looked too thin – she did everything she had to do to win the money, including probably starving herself (or going on a liquid diet) for the final weeks. I would have done the same thing for the $250k.

  • Stef

Helen looked way too skinny – she even had to lose muscles in order to be able to beat Tara and Mike. Just look at her arms – they were more toned when she was on the ranch!! She really needs to put on some weight again!

  • angie

that really that tara did not win

  • jordan

anyone know where i can watch it online?…….seems as if NBC only air the previous weeks episode and not this one…..I’m too anxious to wait

  • Kristie

I have not missed a show. This has been a part of my Tuesday evening for a long time.I am concerned for Helen she does not look so healthy, she looks as if she has lost her muscle tone pray she is ok. They all worked hard. Thanks for the inspiration!

  • Jane

Was it just me or was Tara’s final weigh in bittersweet? It didn’t seem like she got acknowledged with all the weight she lost. Sure, it was great to celebrate Helen being the winner, but aren’t they all?

  • Michelle

I wanted Mike to win. I think Helen is way too selfish – any Mom who puts themselves before their kids is no mom in my book.

  • Lulu

The skin hanging off Helen’s arms when she waved was yucky. Tara and Mike looked healthy. I also felt badly for Helen’s daughter – something is not right there.

  • Kristi

I wanted Tara or Mike to win. But Tara never fell below the yellow line. She won so many challenges. She should have won at the finale.I just hope Helen gets help for her hair. Mike and Tara will always be my inspiration. They have real families that totally support them and I know that they will continue to be successful. So where are you going to college in the fall Mike?

  • Wesley

i was wondering what was the deal with the way Helen was standing. She almost looked coached. It looked awkward. Anyway, I wanted Tara to win. I feel cheated for some reason.
