What would you have done? Casey Ray, a beauty salon owner, found the scripts for two Robert Pattinson films — The Twilight Saga: New Moon and the romantic drama Memoirs, another Summit Entertainment production expected to film this summer — in a trash bin in St. Louis. (No one’s said how they ended up there. They were found outside a hotel housing actors working on the George Clooney movie Up in the Air. That cast includes Anna Kendrick, who plays Bella’s friend Jessica in the Twilight films, but her rep has insisted that the actress would not be so careless.) Though Ray considered leaking the scripts to the tabloid press, her lawyer tells the Associated Press that she didn’t really want money. So she returned them to the studio and was offered tickets to the movies’ premieres. She’ll also receive the scripts back after the films have hit theaters.
How would you have handled the find? Since I can’t even sit in someone else’s seat at a concert without getting nervous that I’ll be found out, I’m confident that I would have done the right thing as well and returned them — after I read them, of course. And took them to my editor.

I’m a nerd, too–I would have returned them (after I read them of course!) But still, this whole situation seems rather strange….
I would have returned them too. (After reading them, of course!) But the whole sitch is soooo odd. St. Louis? Really? That’s 2/3 of a continent away!
I would have returned them…it is the honest thing to do but I would have read them first; after all honest or not I am only human.
I would have left them in the trash…where they belonged.
I would have kept them, but never told anyone about them until the movie was out. And I still would have kept them and tried to get then autographed. I would not have tried to sell them or make money off of them. I would have added them to my autograph collection.
I would have read them and then happily returned them to the studio. Why doesn’t this stuff ever happen to me?
You know, I can’t say that I’d have returned them .. I think I would probably have taken them home and squirreled them away somewhere safe. But, I CAN say for certain that I would NOT have sold them or “leaked” them in any way.

lol
How big could the spoilers be for New Moon? The book’s been out for years! I’d ebay ‘em, for sure!

New moon script found in trash? How appropriate.. hehehehe

If I’m in a place in my life where I’m finding things in the trash, I’m definitely cashing in on an abandoned script for a highly guarded movie. Ka-ching!
While I would not have leaked them, I probably would have kept them.
I guess I’ll be the first to admit I’d at least get a quote from an outlet willing to pay me for them. Money doesn’t grow on trees, man. Of course, I’d possibly chicken out after that and just return them honestly.
Who cares???
Wow. I can honestly say that I don’t know what I’d do, but trying to parlay the find into a job of some sorts for Pop-Watch (hint hint) comes to mind.
It’s not like we don’t know what happens in the movie. Unless they are going to rewrite the whole thing. The book is already out there and has been read millions of times.
Kendrick must have auditioned for memoirs
I would give it back. And try not to read it just b/c Im so EXCITED about the movie. Of course when I did go to give it back it would be in person and I would want to meet all the actors/actresses and try to talk the producers in to letting my own little girl play Rennesme. ha…
Why was that lady in the trash ?
A Twilight script in the trash, how fitting…
I would get quotes aplenty: ebay, private buyers/auctions, movie studio, etc., then go with the highest bidder. Given I’m a 19 year old man with college/rent to pay for, and zero interest in Twilight, if I had found that script, it may as well have been a blank check.
Finding in the trash sounds about right.

pretty apt, don’t you think???
Hilariousity!!!!
I have to admit I would have probably read them completely first, made a copy for myself to read over and over again and then returned them.
All this Twilight belongs in the trash stuff is real original… stop hating on stuff you know nothing about. The Twilight series is a big hit so just let the fans enjoy themselves and stop hating on the series. It is pointless at this point it is more popular than anything you all will ever do.
I would’ve returned it, but I so would’ve read it first. It wouldn’t have been cool to give it to a tabloid or put it on the internet, though. I probably would’ve asked if I could have a copy after the movie is released.
I’d probably have laughed at the absolute irony, and left the New Moon script, at least, right where it was.
