Celebrity Apprentice finalist Annie Duke visited Ellen today to discuss last week’s epic Rivers rant, in which Joan compared Annie to Hitler, Melissa coined the term ”whore pit vipers,” and everybody else wondered what the hell was going on. Annie mentioned how she stayed pretty classy throughout the tirade, defended poker players as being ”awesome people” (hands down my favorite lame comeback ever), and how she, just like the rest of us, is now attempting to work ”whore pit vipers” into her daily vocabulary.
She also had this little tidbit of wisdom about the entire Celebrity Apprentice machine: ”It’s a fake job and you get fake fired.” Too true, Annie. Too true. What do you think about Duke’s appearance? Did she really keep it classy, or is her hatred of the Rivers clan just way more toned-down and passive-aggressive? Who are you rooting for during Sunday’s three-hour Apprentice finale — Annie or Joan?

I think I’m in the minority cheering for Annie on Sunday. Rivers quit. And like Piers said last night, if it wasn’t for her age she wouldn’t of been there this far. Not to mention get away with all the crap she’s said.

Celebrity Apprentice? Just who exactly is Annie Duke?
Adam-
I’m more than happy to join you in the minority (if that’s in fact what it is).
I’m going to be rooting for Annie, simply because (as I said in the “Apprentice” recap board earlier today) she’s played the game better than anyone (including Piers last year) and deserves to win, no matter what you think of her.
Yes, she’s annoying and yes, she LOVES to take credit for her work (which, by the way, is a strategic move to make herself look like a strong player). Still, other than being irritating, the biggest knock against her is that she’s a “poker player.” (Sorry, but that’s not exactly a curse word in my house, and it’s actually turned out to be a perfect skill set for this game.)
I can’t root for Joan because her comments have been way too cruel and way too personal…she’s truly revealed who the real “white trash” is.
That being said, I believe all this stuff is played up for the cameras and that Joan will end up with the win. (“Evil” won’t triumph two years in a row.)
Absolutely rooting for Annie on Sunday. The Rivers’ are absolutely deplorable people, based on what I’ve seen on this show. I really wish it would have been Annie vs. Brande though. Joan doesn’t deserve to be in the final two at all…
Annie has not once been a team player.. its always “I” .. I am one person that usually roots for the NON actor..but this time I just can’t stand Annie.
I wished Jessie would have been picked.
JOAN RIVERS ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!
Like Joan said last night, Annie spells Team TIIIIIIIIIIIEAM. Joan all the way. Annie should be fired for being abrasive and annoying.
I’m absolutely rooting for Joan; I don’t want Annie to have another reason to continue her incessant bragging.
Joan Rivers has little class, but Annie Duke has none. At least Joan is woman enough to speak her mind, unlike the sneaky, cowardly Duke who talks behind Joan’s back.
HATE Annie – if “evil” wins again I won’t watch season three.
GO ANNIE GO!!! YOUR THE BEST!
I’m a big Tom Green fan, so I was hooked into this show watching him. After he was fired, I found I kept tuning in to see what happens. I don’t think Brandie deserved to be fired, especially after pulling off an amazing win, short handed against a three-person team that had a professional musician. It seems the only reason she was cast out was because that obnoxious British gay guy didn’t like her. Normally I would probably root for a comedian, but not in this case. I think Joan Rivers should have been fired for her deplorable, negative behavior. I just finished reading Annie Duke’s book. While I don’t find her to be a totally likable person, she comes from a family of educators and she graduated from Columbia and went to graduate school for a PHD. Hardly what I would call white trash. I find the Rivers family penchant for cosmetic surgery to be much more disengaging and unattractive than the Lederer family penchant for knowledge and education. I hope Annie Duke mops up the floor with Joan Rivers.
I think that Donald Trump used the feud between the Rivers and Duke to make for good television. I feel that the only reason that he fired Melissa was because he knew that it would be talked about all over TV and that would bring better ratings and more viewers for his show. Annie did set out to get rid of Melissa and I don’t blame Joan for going for Annie’s throat. True her words were a little harsh but if Annie had the guts to stand up to her we would have heard her poker trash mouth. She is not the little miss innocent that she wants you to believe she is. I am praying every day that Joan wins because I feel she is the most deserving. Donald even said that if someone went after one of his children in that way he would react the same.
Joan Rivers won it. Did you see Trump in the promos for this week point to his left and say you are the celebrity apprentice. Whos always sits to Trump’s left…Joan Rivers
If Annie Duke is so committed to education, why did she quit grad school after five years, just months before it was time to defend her PhD thesis? Why the lack of follow-through?
Also, couldn’t believe that she acted as if there wasn’t a professional musician helping her with the jingle. The bragging from Annie Duke is incessant and intolerable. One would think she can walk on water…
I had little knowledge of Annie Duke before this show and after watching her performances care very little for her as a person. To bad Jesse James didn’t raise any funds-would have been nice to seem him beat her in the finals.
I am rooting for Joan, but all due respect to Annie as well. Joan, in her 70’s and has survived big time losses both personally and professionally, gave me (us) the best reality TV moments in years. I have always loved and respected her.
I respect Annie as well though. She took the game very seriously and played it well. Clearly, the same personal drive she has shown on Apprentice has gotten her to the top of the poker world and she deserves respect for that. She just ain’t Joan.
Go Annie go! Joan Rivers is an over the hill plastic piece of crap that should have been fired weeks ago! Nasty, nasty, b*tch
I HATE ANNIE!! I love Joan she is so funny!! I hope she wins. She may look bad but she is better than that horrible horrible stupid game player Annie!
Joan Rivers is digusting. The sad and pathetic evidence is pretty clear in the mess that is Melissa Rivers. How anyone could cheer for this wretched woman to win is beyond me.
Annie will win so we can have another omarosa person – Trump likes those people
Annie is a 2-face. Annie claims she never got personal, but we see her on tape saying Joan should be killed. She did not deny calling Brandi stupid, she only said she did not say it on tape.
Annie has friends the way Tony Soprano has friends — the kind that whack you.
I don’t like Annie, but Joan does not act her 75 years either. Both should be ashamed of themselves, but they have no shame, and neither has class!
Annie cannot win this show. She is truly a manipulative two-faced person. Joan may go to extremes in her emotions, but that’s why we love her. JOAN FOR THE WIN!!!
Poker players are no good to this country. What good do they do? They entice young people to waste time looking at plastic cards. I agree with Joan…they are trailer trash.
Can’t stand Annie Duke. I had never heard of her before and after seeing her I hope to forget her. She is all about me, me, me. She has to say I in every sentence. What a blow heart. I would have liked to see Jesse and Joan at the finale.
Joan Rivers all the way! Joan is a strong women that has survived a lot including the death or her husband. She speaks her mind and at least she’s a decent human being not like Annie. Annie is a self absorbed egotistical trash. Joan is a sharp lady a lot of poker players are trash.
Go Annie! I thought I’d be rooting for Joan Rivers at the beginning of the show, but her over-the-top behavior has completely turned me off. Charity nonsense? Worse than Hitler (from a woman whose family was murdered during the Holocaust)? What a disgusting way to play the Jew card. Time to take that fright-mask face of yours and retire, Joan.
ME, I, ME, I, I, ME, I I I I, ME ME ME. She only talks about herself. Get rid of Annie, Go Joan!
