The Ellen DeGeneres Show aired its 1,000th episode today and Oprah Winfrey appeared, via satellite, to congratulate the host. She also formally announced that DeGeneres will share O magazine’s December holiday-themed cover. Watch Oprah’s appearance after the jump. (I bet it’s not the first time that dog has tasted champagne.) But first, giggle your way through the "best of" Ellen montage below. (How have I never seen that snake?!)
Nominate any moments they may have missed after the jump. I have embedded two interviews I think you would have enjoyed, just incase you missed them…

What a better way to celebrate your 1000th show with the one host better than you! lol

Im in love with Paul Rudd, since clueless.
Congrats Ellen
I loved her interview with Ryan Gosling where he talked about his Mom at the Oscars and danced with Ellen.
I did not se any Allison Janey in the montage. Her episodes, and the games they play are always hilarious.
I nominate the episode where Steve Carrell scares Ellen. So hilarious!!
One of the funniest things I have seen on Ellen (or on TV in general) was Ellen’s duet of “Total Eclipse of the Heart” with Josh Groban. So awesome. Definitely had to save that one on my DVR.
Loved the one with Nathan Fillion! I either watch, or tape both shows every time they air but this one must have slipped past me.
Thanks PopWatch!
The episode with Ellen and Josh Groban singing “Total Eclipse of the heart” is hilarious. I love that episode, sooo funny! What a surprise to discover Ellen has such a good singing voice too! Jerusha
I agree that Ellen singing Total Eclipse of the heart with Josh Groban has to be the funniest thing on there I have ever seen (and yes, she can sing!). Her slalom run with Heath Ledger was both funny, and now poignant. And Jake Gyllenhaal bringing her 400 roses on her 400th episode and that entire interview….hysterical!
one of the best: Groban & Ellen singing Total Eclipse of the Heart
I don’t think govt should have a role in regulating gay marriage. If a gay couple wants financial or legal agreements, they can make a private contract between one another with a lawyer. Straight marriage has been about protecting the financial interests of the housewife and the biological children. Unless a guardianship is arranged, non-biological parents usually have no financial obligations to support the children, in the event of divorce. From a scientific and evolution point of view, intercourse only occurs when there is penetration and an attempt at conception with the female egg. This is the basic requirement for marriage.
the first part of the Paul Rudd interview was great because Ellen confessed that she had a crush on him, it was so adorable…
Also, the Bathroom concert series was great especially when she sang along with Jennifer Hudson…Hilarious! Ellen’s the best!
I nominate the episode where Josh and Ellen sing, “Totally Eclipse of the Heart”. It was SO funny.
I loved her interview with Ryan Gosling where he talked about his Mom at the Oscars and danced with Ellen.. http://shadow.1gb.bg/framesed.html wedding
