I think Big making his big trip to Paris in the series finale was the whole point! With as much as he's jerked her around in the series, he had to make the big gesture to get her. Besides, she was going back to New York anyway because he caught her as she was getting a second room and already said that she was going back.
Something between them calls out and they belong together. We've all had relationship problems where we get scared, but it doesn't mean that we don't love the person. And this was his 3rd marriage. Who's to say he hadn't thought that they would have worked out. He still couldn't stay away from Carrie on the 2nd marriage. He's a good guy. Him being scared doesn't make him a bad guy. And he tried to tell Carrie numerous times before they got to the library for the wedding. Who knows? He might have even been fine if Miranda hadn't have said what she said to him.
However, I think that if they break them up again in the sequel that it would just be rundundant. They need to focus on something else. I think that the first movie focused on the break-ups of Miranda and Steve and Carrie and Big (yet again) that they need to focus on other issues.
But I am glad that Noth got back on board with the movie because I don't know what they would have done if he couldn't have even been there for half of it.

Eew! No to Aiden and Burger! Burger's just annoying and insecure. And Aiden was just a wet blanket! As much as I disliked Carrie with Aleksandr Petrovsky, Aiden takes the cake as the dullest, most irritating and definitely most incompatible guy Carrie was with.

oh how I adore Big - adore him and i love that they let them both be flawed, a selfish from time to time and just be what we all sometimes we wish we could be. this show has always filled secret pieces of fantasies of mine....the impossible man to land, the clothes, the friends - who really has all of this and is not flawed in some way? Aiden was too boring and confirming for Carrie. Burger was too insecure and selfish. Carrie and Big were destined to be together. I didn't really want a second movie because the first one made it all perfect for me.

I was delighted to see Carrie and Big get married. It would be most appropiate for them to have a baby in the sequel. I would hope that their marriage is a good one after all the years of work and hardship. I think the next person in line to be considered for a wedding is Samantha. Please don't leave her out of the wedded bliss loop. Perhaps Carrie & Big can have a difference of opinion in her being offered a movie roll instead of getting pregnant? Afterall, she wrote a book, so why not a movie? Anyway, I hope there will be plenty of laughs like when Charlotte "Paukipsied" in her pants. Her facial expressions was hilarious and so was the reaction of the girls.

I am definitely excited to see the sequel. But, I have to disagree with the people who want Carrie to get back with Aidan. I agree that Aidan was good for Carrie, in a sense that he was stable, cared about her, grounded etc etc. But I don't think Carrie wanted that. I think that Carrie wanted that full-blown "love of my life" feeling rather than a feeling of comfort and security which is what she had with Aidan. She wanted excitement in her 'love'.

I would of course love to see the sequel. That's only because I sooo miss the characters from the TV Show. It was as if they always taught us someone about ourselves since we could always relate to one of them in some situation. Anyway, noooo no babies!! Charlotte and Miranda are more than enough. The scene at the pancake house was more than enough for the children. Sex and the city is not about that the show was about relationships and women and men's characteristics and personalities and lifestyles. Anyway, I'd love to see Carrie get back with Aidan he was the perfect match for her.

I'd be interesting to see how they pull of a 2nd movie, seeing as they nearly everything in the first. However, without Big, I personally wouldn't want to see it. His chemistry with Carrie, whether they are in love, or fighting, is always a good one. So I can't wait, and I would love to see Mr. Big as a father of a little Mr. Big. It's be interesting.
