I just wish that EW.com would get a new person to do recaps on this show next season. Who continues to read these recaps? Fans of the show. Find someone who still enjoys it and can be critical, rather than someone who has written the show off. PLEASE.

I wish that NBC would look on the internet and read some of the comments that people put on websites like this one. I have been a loyal fan since day one but if the first episode of season five doesn’t have some real action… Some duels including all out use of peoples powers then I’m gonna wipe this show off my DVR forever. When this show started people regularly used their powers…..where did that all go? I like to know everyone’s story and I like to have alittle background, but if I had a power then I would be kicking alittle ass every now and then. Bring powers back or flush this show down the toilet.

I just watched the season 4 finale of Heroes and i was just a little disappointed, my first real disappointment with the series. Despite the poor reviews on the show i’m still quite happy with it. There are a few things that bother me though; such as what happened with Hiro? Why is his body rejecting his powers and if he is destined to lose them why have him in the show at all? The show is called Heroes, heroes have powers, so what’s up with that? Also, i was disappointed about the final battle between Sylar and Peter/Nathan, you could tell some major action was going on in that suite and that’s messed up that it wasn’t shown. And i didn’t like how the end of the season seemed like the end of the series, Sylar is apparently gone forever (except the fact that his healing ability with probably heal the damage done by Matt), the government isn’t trying to round up heroes anymore, and the main villains are either dead or rehabilitated. So where is the show going from here?

Third, what’s the deal with Peter’s powers? When he touches a multi-powered individual, he can only choose 1 power to keep? If that’s the case, why did he choose to take shape-shifting? Wouldn’t taking another power (like TK or immortality) have been much more useful in taking down Sylar? But no…somehow, Peter had the forethought to know that Noah was coming with a tranquilizer, and secret service would let Peter touch the president (that’s the only way he could morph into him), and that Sylar would be able to see the secret service evacuating him…again lazy writing. Just curious, what would have happened if Sylar didn’t cross paths in time? Would Peter have remained the president until his next encounter with Sylar?
Lastly, Sylar has Clair’s healing powers. One of these days, “Nathan” is going to get hurt and when he sees himself heal he’ll know something’s up. And shouldn’t his healing be working on his brain right now so that eventually, he’ll gain his memories back?

The Nathan dying/Sylar becoming Nathan was an interesting narrative twist, but in the grand scheme of things it’s full of too many plot holes.
As so many people have mentioned already, a drop of Claire’s blood would have resurrected Nathan. Claire may not know this, but Noah definitely does. Extremely lazy or sloppy writing.
Secondly, why does Sylar even bother to use electricity to attack Peter and Nathan during their battle? A simple flick of the wrist and he could have slit both their throats without breaking a sweat.

Nobody is saying the evident… or maybe somebody is, I didn’t read all the comments
The epic battle between the super brothers and electrosylar has been stored for an emergency; say, ratings drop underground, they’ll tease us on a preview that mid next season, the fight will be seen, as remembered by claire, or in one of those “some time early” things; so people will be forced to keep watching. I mean, there was a reason claire saw it all, and there was a reason we where shown so clearly se was seeing it.
Hell, maybe next season will start with that fight in the “previously on heroes” intro, you know, kind of like how they inserted short non previously seen scenes on that intro before, this time it will be a huge intro with a subtext of “for all of those who doubted us”…
The only thing I don’t get is ¿How the hell did Sylar flew, or was it just the landing, a la magneto, some kind of telekinetic levitation? I must have missed something.

I stopped watching Heroes about 2 months ago, but I check up on it on sites like this. I guess I’m hoping to hear that the show has become watchable again. But after reading several recaps of this finale I see that Heroes just keeps getting worse. I’m glad I stopped watching.
Also
if Sylar can blow up an entire city, why doesn’t he. He should have been killed off during season 2. The character’s way too powerful now.

I love how people say they are done with the show or were done with it 3-4 months ago, yet they continue to post their dribble here. I still enjoy the show and will love for it to continue. I always DVR it (it’s on at the same time as my favorite show, 24) and think they did a pretty good job with it. So, all you people who say you are “done”, quit posting about it then…Thanks!
