It’s that time of year again, when desperate fans start taking desperate measures to save their favorite shows. (See: peanuts, lots of.) Supporters of NBC’s criminally underwatched not-quite-a-spy series Chuck have started a Facebook campaign declaring their intentions to buy Subway sandwiches on Monday — the hoagie franchise has a placement deal with the show — giving creator Josh Schwartz hope for a third season.
Me? I like Chuck. I’m happy to grab a Cold Cut Combo next week if it helps the cause. Not sure it has a shot in hell at renewal, but I encourage everyone out there in PopWatch land to give the show one more shot before you write it off for dead. I know what you’re thinking: Ugh, NO. It’s just another will-they-or-won’t-they plotline that’s gonna drag out forever, and we get enough of that on Bones. Hey! Look! At the below video! THEY HOOKED UP ALREADY! (And to a Bon Iver song, no less!) It’s safe for the excessive-shipping-averse to return. And in all seriousness, the last few eps have been pretty rock solid.
But what do you think, PopWatchers? Can/should this show be saved? And what footlong will you get to show your love?
Chuck is seriously my favorite show on TV right now, and I know at least 5 other people who are dedicated watchers. Where’s NBC getting their information from? Maybe they need to not put it up against Big Bang and How I Met Your Mother (which I watch at 9). SAVE CHUCK!!

I hope so! I’m a huge tv-watcher and it’s nice to have something light and fun to mix w/ all the mind-bending/emotional dramas and reality tv out there.
I really hope Chuck gets picked up. It’s a great show! Far superior to Heroes, which has already been picked up, even with a shorter episode run. Heroes bores me to tears, while Chuck is very exciting.
There is so much redundancy out there, it’s refreshing to have a show like “Chuck” to watch. Seriously, has anyone seen what’s offered on the networks? Procedural crime drama and hospital dramas. CSI, CSI: NY, CSI: Miami, NCIS (enough initials for everybody?!), Law & Orders, and Law & Order: SVU. “Chuck” is a true original. The worst part about it’s renewal question is that it wouldn’t be an issue if Jay Leno weren’t hijacking 5 hours of NBC’s primetime schedule in the fall.
YES! IT IS WORTH TRYING TO SAVE! This is my favorite show and if NBC cancels it… I would be so sad. It is just so fantastic and I look forward watching it every Tuesday on Hulu.com (shorter commercials). Please save CHUCK! It deserves it!
This show definitely needs to be saved. And it’s not just the ‘will they or won’t they’ part; the whole show is fantastic. All the characters are so funny and work so well together. I love this show even more than 24. I swear that on my foot-long turkey on white.
It is so totally worth it…Chuck is awesome!! NBC is getting totally desperate…the only other NBC show I watch is 30Rock.

People don’t watch Chuck? I had no idea! Everyone I know watches Chuck. How can this be a bubble show???
Side note: I might even let myself be dragged to Subway again if it will save Chuck, even though I found a bug in (ok, well more accurately ‘on the paper next to’) my sandwich there today.
Chuck is not going to get renewed. Jay Leno Sucks its all his fault no one wants to watch is new dumb show. NBC is the worst network in the world they thinks Jay Leno’s show is going to work they are so wrong. Give the people what they really want and thats Chuck NOT LENO
YES!!! I will buy one of everything on the SUBWAY menu (6 inch of course to save money) if it means SAVING CHUCK. It is the best, most fun, most romantic show on tv. I will even eat the Veggie Sandwich which is totally gross. Chuck is so smart, so cool, so fun, and so great!
This show NEEDS to be saved. There is really no other show like it, in that it mixes action, comedy and characters we really care about really well. I’m going to be incredibly sad if this gets cancelled.
Definitely worth saving. I only started watching Chuck because it was on before Heroes. Now I only watch Heroes because it’s on after Chuck!
SAVE CHUCK! This is my family’s favorite show. Can’t wait for my spicy italian sandwich on Monday.
At the beginning of the second season, I wasn’t so thrilled with Chuck, as it just seemed like it was the “same-old, same-old”, with no one growing or developing. That really changed in the second half of the season, and the last few episodes have been very good.
I really want Chuck to be renewed for next year, and I will be buying a sub on Monday, but (as someone who donated blood for Moonlight and thought it would definitely get renewed) I really don’t want to get my hopes up too much. I’m really worried, especially with the idiotic Jay Leno programming move taking away 5 slots next season.
