'Liberace': Gayest Broadway show ever?

Liberace did not lisp. Many people lisp, but it doesn’t mean they are gay. Lee had speech lessons to mask a Polish accent (his Mother had a thick Polish accent even in later years).
Having AIDS is not proof of being gay. People from all types of backgrounds, sexual orientations and ages (babies, children to adults) can get AIDS for a variety of reasons (drug use, blood transfusions, unsafe sex, partners of those with risky behaviors, etc.)
Liberace is not a caricature. He had fans of all ages and backgrounds. He was a wonderful entertainer and showman. He also was a caring and giving person and very kind to his fans.
I’m 48 and saw Lee live in my 20′s. This new Broadway show has been in development for years and I’ve seen it many times. Wayland Pickard is a wonderful entertainer and brings the spirit of Lee back on stage in a wonderful tribute.
I highly recommend seeing the show. You will leave as a fan of Liberace and understand why he was called Mr. Showmanship!
Imagine a shirtless MattAdore…
Poolside by moonlight
Twirling a red silk shirt…
around a motorcycle helmet-for-bull
doing a mock ballet to…
Liberace playing Malaguena !
