'Bones' season finale to feature guest appearance by Motley Crue. Discuss.

Motleycruebones_lSPOILER ALERT! Fox has confirmed that Motley Crue will guest star on the May 14 season finale of Bones, performing "Dr. Feelgood." This sounds like one of Booth’s hallucinations to me, but maybe not. A corpse is found at the popular nightclub, The Lab, where the Crüe plays, and the team investigates with "Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) working together like never seen before." (How did Fox resist putting an exclamation point at the end of that sentence? Impressive.) Also guesting in the episode, Ryan O’Neal (Brennan’s dad, Max) and Brendan Fehr (Booth’s brother, Jared).

What are your theories? Go.

My guess would be that Angela’s dad is also involved (and Motley Crue would be his band, or his band was opening for them, or something), but if they’ve already released the guest star list, that seems unlikely.

They start a post-mortum on Mick only to realize he’s still alive? Only because he flinches.
I don’t care – I’m looking forward to it either way!

That photo mash-up is awesome! If only the Crue would look that way on the show…

What’s the point of putting “Spoiler Alert” in the first sentence if the thing being spoiled is in the headline? Just sayin’…

I am NOT a fan of Motley Crue, but not even they will dampen my enthusiasm, I am SO looking forward to the last few episodes of Bones! Already watched tonight’s episode, and I can’t believe Brennan and all the feelings! She’s becoming more human, which I think is neccesary before she and Booth can get together. Great scene between the 2 of them, right at the end. Also a few nice moments between her and Nokamura. LOVES IT!!

someone thought if they drank the sweat of Tommy lee, they would live forever. they should of tried that theory on Keith Richards

Gotta be in his mind, especially when there’s already been photo-releases for Critic of Booth in a …. (Spoilers) If I’d have to guess half the finale will take place in Booth’s head, the other half will deal with the aftermath (which includes a little *fun* between B&B)
    Bring on the finale!

I AM SO EXCITED FOR THE LAST 2 EPISODES OF BONES!!!!
I bet Angela’s dad is involved in the Motley Crue bit somehow!

On the radio in LA a few days ago they were giving a way tickets to the Motley Crue concert and a walk-on with the band on Bones. Found out too late, as I didn’t hear the set up, only when the winner called in. They had never seen Bones, just wanted to hang out with MC. :(

That’s nice….but JEFFSTER! is making an appearance in Monday’s “Chuck” season (and it BETTER just be season) finale!
At this point, I’d pay more to see Jeffster! in concert than Crue….

  • Martha

I’d be psyched to see Angela’s dad again, but what does ZZ Top have to do with Motley Crue, other than that they’re both bands? Also psyched to see Brennan’s dad and Booth’s brother again…it promises to be a star-studded extravanganza, that one…

Now we now why Vince Neil was in the Idol audience last Tuesday. :)

  • Liz

Yay! Brendan Fehr! i have had a serious crush on him ever since Roswell, which was like 10 years ago so I am stoked he’ll be returning to be awesome on Bones!

The writers for this show love them song rock music. Who can forget the “Hot Blooded” foreigner singing moment with Booth and Bones- and Booth’s Air Guitar adorableness. We have some facts and questions on our site about Bones if anybody wants to say Hi- http://www.milehighhorror.com/wp02/?p=854

To Elizabeth–LOL! But the sad thing is Mick has actually aged pretty well compared to the rest of the Crue! (Doesn’t Vince look like Keith Urban blown up with a bicycle pump?)

  • smurfs

It’s gotta a be a way of them working through the case without Booth being able to be at the crime scene – they talk things through and see themselves and everyone they know in the roles of the key players.
Anyone remember Crossing Jordan and the way she and her father worked things out?

I think that “Bones and Booth working together like they’ve never seen” probably means that after they do the wild thang, their chemistry will be incredibly different(I’m guessing more slaps on the but like Season 2: The Woman in the Sand!)

Actually, I met Mick & Nikki at a music conference 8 years ago, and Mick looked like he was at death’s door, while Nikki looked fit & healthy. I know Mick has spondyloarthritis & is almost 10 years older than the other 3, though Vince has just had too much plastic surgery. Tommy will always be his crazy self. Should be a fun episode!

Bones has really been back on its game the past two episodes. It almost makes up for all of the suckiness that has been plaguing the show ever since it came back from the strike. I hope the upward trend continues!

“and the emmy for best special guest in a tv drama goes to ? motley crue. motley crue is and always will be the “worlds greatest rock and roll band”

  • Carson

It would be kickin’ if they would just re-enact Nikki’s death and make an episode about that, but he would actually play himself, also are those haulograms, if not the crue hasn’t changed since I saw them at the whiskey in ‘81, it was so cool, I was only 13 so me and my friends dressed up the best we could and stuck in.

    :O
I have no idea… it sounds to me pretty silly or an excelent job done by writers to involve and justify Motley Crue in a Bones episode.. I did expect an awsome and good episode of this great show.. really.. I want to believe that the reason of this performance will be a very smart case ..

I love BONES and it’s nice that you have a place where viewers may comment. However, you should have a monitor watch the posts, as I have seen too many “ads” that have nothing to do with Bones or Fox TV. Personal ads have no place on a board like this one. Please monitor your list more carefully. Thanks.

  • Mr. Crue

Never watched Bones in my life.. but im most deffinetly recording it to watch the Crue. And hey, the songs “Dr. Feelgood” its gotta be about drugs… or.. sex.. haha
