Yep, me again, blathering about Lost. Again. But this time, I come with something somewhat substantial to fill your Lost void. ABC is planning to post the show’s weekly video podcast at abc.com tomorrow, but a little bird just told me that if you go over to YouTube, you can watch it, like, now! (See it embedded below.) I can’t promise you that you’ll glean any insight about next week’s eagerly anticipated episode, "The Variable," beyond the fact that it happens to mark Lost’s 100th episode. In fact, I can kinda promise you that you’ll learn nothing besides that fact. But it does feature Evangeline Lilly ruminating on the whole Jack vs. Sawyer debate for Kate. Doc Jensen readers will know that the love triangle (or quadrangle, if you toss Juliet in the mix) is, for me, one of the least interesting aspects of Lost. But I must admit, I got a chuckle out of hearing Lilly say the word "Jater." So check it out. Besides, what else is there to do today? (And remember: a new Doc Jensen column on Friday.)

Thanx!
I love the whole Sawyer/Kate/Juliet love triangle and hope they rev up Jack to be a serious contender. I hope the play up the quadrangle to maximum effect, but time is sadly running out… much more interested in who Kate or Sawyer ends up with, why and what happens to the other than I am in the mythology mumbo jumbo at this point.
Hey EW. You are perfectly willing to pedal subscriptions to your mag in Canada so why do insist on embedding
videos on you site that can’t be viewed here?
PLEASE post videos that aren’t just US centric. I see this all the time on this site. It’s very frustrating for someone who isn’t American.
first we get to read his recap IN ITS ENTIRETY every time we turn a comments page – still like that today – but now only videos within U.S. – what is this? do you even LIKE us anymore E.W.?
Yeah, what a letdown when I could not see it! If anyone finds a place to get it that is available for Canada, let us know. (Death to Juliet and Sawyer by the way, please god, put an end to the pain in my head watching that charisma-less relationship unfold, its like watching paint dry)
DarkUfo has it for Canada, watching it right now.
These “for those living the U.S. only” videos are lame, lame, lame…
I agree with Doc. J that the relationship quadrangle is not one the most interesting dynamics of Lost. Hated the ‘shippers from X-Files. I don’t know why people want the main characters to be romantically involved (unless that’s how TV set us up from the beginning), and in shows like Lost and X-Files, there are infinitely more fascinating story arcs than who was, is and will sleep with whom.
One exception to my prior post is that Sawyer’s & Juliet’s relationship has made Sawyer/James a better/different man and that figures prominently in the story arc.
I love the whole love triangle/quadrangle. I think it adds a realistic and very emotional aspect to the show. I thought Jack and Kate should end up together, but they’ve become completely disenchanted and distanced from eachother… we’ll have to wait and see!
PLEASE let Kate end up with Sawyer???!!!
They are SO HOT together!
I can’t stand the love triangle/quadrangle and have come to hate Kate’s character because of the actions the writers have given her, particularly mind-f**king Jack all the time. I hope in the finale she ends up dead or in a convent; I don’t want either guy with her anymore!
Too bad Canada, that’s what you get for booing our National Anthem during a recent Bruins v. Canadien hockey game.
The love [insert appropriate geometric shape here] doesn’t bother me at all. I don’t know why people get so disturbed by it. It doesn’t diminish the overall story in my view. That’s why I like LOST–it has a little bit of everything and if you are telling a story involving people being together over long periods of time, it’s not out of the ordinary for there to be hook ups. Yeah, I’m fine with it.
