his parents RULE! i went to the michael jackson night taping and talked to them for a bit – you can tell they’re totally supportive of their son but not in a stage-parent, psycho, obnoxious kind of way (i’m looking at you david archuleta’s dad!). let’s hope anoop is not part of the bottom 3 tonight!!!
I think it takes alot of class and integrity to walk up to Simon and shake his hand when the show ended after Simon had given Anoop the diss of the century. Rock on Anoop.

What do you know about Archuleta’s dad? You just wish him to be an evil stage dad. But everyone who has met his dad knows it was just the false rumor to create the drama for the higher TV ratings. His dad is very supportive and as humble as David. His band members also say that David is the boss making important and final decisions by himself. The dad garbage stuff gets too old. Move on!
abraham – based on your comment, you know about archie’s dad the way i do, from what you read online and see on tv. my opinion is my own and not something i’d force onto anybody, unlike yours. sounds like you need to move on as well. go anoop!!!
What is it with the judges’ lovefest with Danny Gokey??? He was not even one of the top four last night. Lil and Matt should go after yesterday, unfortunately, Mattw ill probably stay and Anoop will go.

I ADORE Anoop’s parents. I love how chill and relaxed, yet proud, they seem in all of the video segments. And it is so obvious Anoop gets his classy behavior and good manners from his parents– talk about raising your kids well. To me, even if he doesn’t win this competition, he WINS the contest for being the most well-rounded Idol – polite, smart (Masters degree at UNC.. damn), talented, articulate (remember when he said ‘impetus’), and persistent. Congrats Anoop! And congrats to all of you Anoops Troops (or whatever you call yourselves)– you guys picked a real winner.

And yes Ryan, he is an Asian Indian, ethnically his eyebrows are genetically correct, unlike your pompous metro enormous LA plastic head….botox go to your brain you pinhead? Anoop is fantastic and I can’t wait to see what he does as an artist in the future! Nalini and Manoj are such wonderful people, and they have raised a wonderful son, whom any parent would be so proud of!

Seriously, I didn’t think Anoop was the best peformer, but what did Simon have against this guy? Is it some kind of English vs. Indian immigrant thing? Because I found his contempt for Anoop incredibly OTT. Talk about self-indulgent, Simon. Look in the mirror sometime. And Ryan, low-blow about the kid’s eyebrows. Even if it was scripted, you could have skipped over that below-the-belt slam.
Anoop’s parents are proud of his talents and had to listen to a lot of things not so nice! They were nice about it!! I will miss Anoop and I know he will go far!! The best of luck to you!! Can’t wait to see you on tour! Beth
