Loved it all! one of my favs!
Michael’s appearance made me miss the idol finalists of last season. For some reason this season is just a tad underwhelming for me. Michael’s cover of “To Love Somebody” was well done, however it did remind me of one of my all time favorite covers of not only that song but of all time which is Ray LaMontagne and Damien Rice’s version. Definitely check it out on youtube.
I love this interview, thanks so much for posting it. Heart On My Sleeve is beautiful, please go listen and buy it at Itunes, and To Love Somebody is swoon-worthy. Yay the Michael Johns interview and performance is finally up! You have no idea how this excites me- I’ve been listening to Heart on my Sleeve so many times and it’s gorgeous. I can’t wait for his album.

Thanks for the MJ video..a real class act. He is so right to target the 30-60 demo. As one who is closer to 60 than 30, I await his cd with much anticipation! I, too, am a huge Ray LaMontagne fan and immediately thought of his cover as soon as I heard TLS. Wish he had given more credit to Ray, though, as his version is clearly too similar to be a coincidence.
Such a smart guy! Absolutely there’s a huge mass of people who grew up with rock and haven’t had anything new worth paying attention to for decades. Go for it Michael!
Thank you Michael Slezak for bringing Michael Johns to this site to perform. American Idol should invite him to do a solo performance!! He is fantastic, and I cannot wait to buy his CD. I think that he would have been saved, and I think he might have even won the whole thing!! Of course, we know that you do not have to win to have a career–Clay Aiken, Jen Hudson, Daughtry, ETC!!! Michael Johns has a beautiful voice, and he has a great personality as well. Plus, he is handsome, sexy and I think he will appeal to the baby boomers and even the younger generation. Thanks again for your terrific Idolatries and superb recaps. Your hard work and creative writing each American Idol Season a most enjoyable experience for everyone!!
